Over the last couple of weeks, a number of readers asked me what I thought about Sarah Palin supporting and actively campaigning for amnesty, global warming theory, and I would close Gitmo Republican, John McCain. That, I can understand, since hes the moron who idiotically catapulted the empty skirtsuit to fame in the first place.
That said, its not just McCain. The Sarah PAC also gave $1,000 to Team Graham, the campaign committee of amnesty supporter and dont torture terrorists Republican U.S. Senator Ashley Graham, whom Rush Limbaugh appropriately calls, Ashley Grahamnesty. And her support is specifically for his primary.
And then theres her support of Rand Paul, which many readers (including Shy Guy) have also contacted me about. Yup, the son of Ron Paul. While I dont know if Paul espouses the 9/11 Truther and other wacky rhetoric (some of it anti-Israel and anti-American) of his bizarro father, its usually the case that the apple doesnt fall far from the tree.

That statement could have been said about George W. Bush in 2000. Like a few other freepers here who vigorously supported Sarah in 2008, I have begun to have a few doubts about her, given some of her statements and actions. Speaking for myself, I'm beginning to consider her an incrementalist desiring to change the direction of the country but an incrementalist just the same.
The dire American fiscal situation is calling for root-and-branch removal, and not just some minor pruning. GWB was an accomodationist when the times dictated that was the only option which was electorally viable. That was then and this was now. I'm keeping an open mind about SP, but its quite possible that hard core conservatives are aiming too low when supporting her candidacy if it comes. Peace, and please keep an open mind about her, too. When 2012 rolls around, it has to be done right or this country is screwed.
“And her support is specifically for his primary.”
Hmmm. Grahamnesty doesn’t have a primary for several more years.
It’s making fun of Lindsey Graham. Ashley was the name of that wimpy flipflopper in “Gone With the Wind” that Scarlet was mad over.
I've heard Rush call Wesley Clark Ashley but not Lindsey Graham. He might have though and I just didn't hear him. Anyway, my point was that the article was stupid and Debbie Schlussel’s criticism reflects poorly on herself not on Sarah Palin.
This Debbie blogger is a Palin hater from way back. And anyone who peddles her crap is suspect.
Move along.
***The Bush years helped to make Obama possible.***
Wrong! It was lies and promises to professional welfare families that made Obama possible. It was at least fifty years of Communists sneaking in through our back doors; creeping up under our government’s foundations; and lies about decent, America-loving leaders.
***We need to find a real conservative.***
Okay, find us a “real” conservative, one who knows how to get votes from democrats as well as Pubbies. Bush, as governor of Texas, won his first election despite the anti-Republican media. AND he swept into his second election in Texas through his ability to unite the people. And, by the way, he won a second election to President of the United States.
***Sadly, Im starting to have doubts.***
Don’t be too impressed by the anti-Bush posters on FR. Try reading the Washington Times instead of the NY Slimes.
Palin’s no more conservative than McAmnesty.
(((PING)))
Yeah, I don’t know what her bag is, but first McCain, now Grahamnesty. Ridiculous. And she wants to be viewed as “different?” That would be J.D. Hayworth and Marco Rubio.
Debbie Schlussel’s a self-important moron.
Well, that's a LIE and a half...
I’m fine with Rand Paul. I’m NOT fine with McCain. Not only does it suggest a “more of the same” from Palin, but well, it says something about smarts. The guy backstabbed her throughout the campaign. This isn’t “loyalty,” its blindness. And we have one blind guy in the Oval Office already.
LLS
I've been here almost since the beginning; I'm on the GOP county central committee; every speech I make is how Libertarians will elect another Democrat . . . and I have serious doubts about Palin. I appreciate she gives to a LOT of Republicans, but if she's all about carving out a new niche as a "real conservative," well, you have to be careful and selective with your endorsements and cash.
And no matter how you slice it, McCain and Grahamnesty DO NOT deserve one penny of support. J.D. Hayworth is the guy in Arizona she should be supporting, and anyone else in SC.
Pretty funny that the more conservative the candidate, the more money they’ve received from SarahPac.
My first reaction to your statement was then we disagree about what I want to see in the campaign of 2012. I want to real leadership and principled vision for America.
Not another media cult for a politician. Nor a misguided ideological cult politician. Not a politician who will continue to split our country.
I am not saying you are right or wrong, but I am saying we're not seeking the same thing. I am watching Sarah, but it seems everyday a little of the golden gleam wipes off. Who she or her PAC supports this year is a litmus test.
