I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
Flowers of the Forest
Black Watch Piper
The Soldier
If I should die, think only this of me: That there's some corner of a foreign field That is forever England. There shall be In that rich earth a richer dust concealed; A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware, Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam; A body of England's, breathing English air, Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home. And think, this heart, all evil shed away, A pulse in the eternal mind, no less Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given; Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day; And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness, In hearts at peace, under an English heaven.
Rupert Brooke

REST IN PEACE, FALLEN BROTHER!

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
God Of Our Fathers
Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in peace! We who remain hold you in high honor. Rest, fallen brother, in this sacred precinct; We who remain keep this place sacred. Rest, fallen brother, among these, your comrades; We who remain keep the watch. Rest, fallen brother, among these who answered the Nations call; We who remain press the fight forward in your name. Rest, fallen brother, lay down thy burden; We who remain have taken up the torch. Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in eternal peace!

Good Evening Yorkie, and all here!!
Guess what I have been doing for two days!!! SETTING UP my Eagle Cam sites for the season.... we have a excellent start.
One egg already at Norfolk VA, and many are bringing in their nestorations in prep to have their young.
I realized I’ve been Awol here at Amys!
When I get a chance I will share some of my photos of today’s nest watching.
I am definitely going to make these cute cupcakes Yorkie....
Waving hello to all....from Los Angeles,

I tried to answer before leaving for the PTA meeting but FR seemed to slow to a crawl and I couldn’t get the window to open. Ho Hum ...
Marissa is in the 4th grade. I’m going to try to spend more time with her on her division. Maybe either the tutor or I can get thru to her. The tutor is there two days a week for an hour each day.

What Will I Do?
Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22
A man who has been my mentor and friend for many years often says that his goal in studying the Bible is always personal application. I appreciate his emphasis on putting learning into practice, because its too easy for those of us who study, discuss, teach, and write about the Bible to take a merely intellectual approach to the Word.
Oswald Chambers said: There is a danger with the children of God of getting too familiar with sublime things. We talk so much about these wonderful realities, and forget that we have to exhibit them in our lives. It is perilously possible to mistake the exposition of the truth for the truth; to run away with the idea that because we are able to expound these things, we are living them too.
James reminds us that the person who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does (1:25). The key issue is not what is preached or written, but what is done.
When I study Gods Word, my first question should not be, What am I going to say about this? but What am I going to do about this?
We take delight to teach Gods Word,
We say, Amen, its true!
But its of little use to us
Unless His will we do. D. De Haan
One step forward in obedience is worth years of study about it. Chambers

Back in the days I practiced martial arts, I was very flexible. Try that today, and I’d likely lock up in a Gorgon’s Knot, (and some smart a$$ would just stick a hand lettered sign with ‘Defective India Rubber Man’ on it, and lean it against me like a side show display!)

LOL! In my younger years...(way back) I was a cheerleader for 5 years, 2 in Jr.High and 3 in High School. I was small and the one they threw around a lot, like up in the air, etc.
We didn’t have the rules then that they have today and we made up our acrobatic jumps and tricks...LOL! Somedays when I have all these aches and pains, it makes me wonder! But all the fun was worth it! Love my “good old days”....LOL!
