Good morning. This is a fantastic thread - thank you, Cindy, for all your efforts on it and on previous such threads.

As of this moment, I am blessed to not be on the job search = but have bookmarked this thread since one never knows in today’s “interesting times” when it may be very needed.

However, I know several who are on the job search and I intend to direct them to this thread.

For those in the Raleigh-Cary area of North Carolina, there is a wonderful group called “Jobseekers” that meets at Colonial Baptist Church on Tryon Road in Cary every Monday morning. Link: http://jobseekers.colonial.org.

It is Christian-based, but is open to anyone who can / will come - and has proved to be extremely helpful to many looking for employment in this area. An added benefit is that Jobseeker members and their job searches are prayed for (by the entire Church’s prayer ministry) as the group’s efforts are sent out in the email prayer requests weekly. (using first names only).

(It’s a tremendous ministry in these times that ANY Church could start, by the way).

Just passing that along and thanks again for all your efforts in this much needed area.

Peabody Energy has a bunch of openings if you are willing to relocate. I spoke with a few people there and they were all very nice. Go to Peabodyenegergy.com and see what they heave.

How To › Finance & Real Estate › Real Estate › Buying › Rental Properties and Houses for Sale—Rental Property Investment

“Rental Properties and Houses for Sale—Rental Property Investment
Learn to Buy Cheap Property and Rent It Out for Additional Income”
By Grace Bloodwell

SNIPPET: “If you want to make additional income and think that you have a good lead on an area of the city that would provide a great rental, you may be ready to add the title “landlord” to your credentials. If you are a first time investor, you may want to research books about investing in rental properties for beginners. Knowledge is power and although investment real estate can be fruitful, you must choose your type of property, your agent and most importantly, your location, carefully. A book of this basic knowledge will inform you of things that you may not have otherwise considered. If this type of investment appeals to you, then here are some tips on how to buy rental property.”

“The Basics
How to find good investment property”
By Liz Pulliam Weston

SNIPPET: “If you’re cut out for it, life as a landlord can be quite profitable. But success isn’t assured. Here’s what you need to know before diving in.”

SNIPPET: “The idea of owning rental real estate seems to be gaining popularity as investors tire of the swoops and swoons of the stock market. As I pointed out in a separate column, not everyone has what it takes to be a landlord. But those who do may find rentals to be a good way to build wealth”
