FReepmail scott says to be added to, or to be taken off the NFL Ping list...
This is a fairly high volume ping list

2 time MVP, 3 highest yardage QB games in the SB, 1 ring. Not to mention being one of the major faces for the league pretty much his whole career, even when playing in non-NFL hotbed cities like Phoenix and St Louis (remember it’s call the Hall of Fame not the Hall of Stats). I can’t really see a remotely believable argument to keep him out of the Hall.

No question in my mind. I know the topic is debated, which is hard me to believe. It’s a slam dunk. Quality QB, but more importantly a quality person.

I’m with capydick, first ballot. I hated him when he played, he exploited my Seachicken’s at every junction. LOL!

Thanks Kurt, for the memories.

Yes! Just based on the amount of wins he brought to my own fantasy football team!

I remember laughing when I heard that Trent Green had gone down and the Rams were down to Brock Huard or some guy named Kurt Warner. But there’s no question in my mind that Warner belongs in the HOF - he’s got the numbers, he’s got the individual honors, he’s got the ring, and he proved conclusively that his numbers weren’t due solely to Mike Martz’s offense.

How many teams did he play on when he wasn’t even the starter?

First ballot-when he was on, nobody ever played the position better-nobody. Yes, he has the donut hole for a few years, but look what the Rams did when he left and what the Cardinals will probably do.

One of the most amazing personal stories ever in sports imo

Fastest to 100 touchdowns behind Marino, holds top 3 Super Bowl passing yardage records, second highest playoff passer rating behind only Bart Starr, the second-highest completion percentage in NFL history , and it goes on

Well done sir!

Yes. He has the numbers, the stature, and the ring. What more do you need? Better question is whether perpetual also-rans like Jim Kelly or Donovan McNabb should make it. Above average numbers but not Marino level, no rings, lots of losses in big games.

I agree, he should be a first ballot HOF inductee.

The only things that could hurt him were things he couldn't control. He never had success in a big media town, and he was, oddly enough, pretty much a journeyman quarterback who put up HOF numbers. NOBODY he played for intended for him to be the starting quarterback. He started in the Arena League and NFL Europe. The Rams got him to back up (ready?) Tony Banks and Steve Bono, then made him backup to Trent Green. If Green hadn't gotten injured in preseason, Warner would have backed him up that season. The Rams replaced him with Marc Bulger and cut him.

He had a short stint with the Giants, but was replaced by Eli Manning.

With the Cardinals, after a shaky start, he was replaced several times before securing the starting job.
