According to Snopes, it is not any one type but a composite of many types of cars. It was minted in 1928, and a few years later people spread the rumor that it car’s occupants were Bonnie and Clyde, but they didn’t even meet until two years after the minting.

When I was younger, I used to be able to read the names of the states on the Lincoln Memorial shown on the back of the 5 dollar bill (front side of the building anyway)......Top...Arkansas, Michigan, Florida,Texas, Iowa, Wisconsin, California (and this is just half of the top row......) I think all the 48 states are on the periphery of the building...
