The dem campaign tried to portray Brown as a right wing Neanderthal. As far as I can tell from a distance, he in reality is a centrist mildly leaning to the left.
For that particular state in 2010 this may be their idea of a conservative, but it's difficult to imagine anybody like an actual across the board conservative winning this election. Even against Coakley.
The only big political name from outside the state he brought in to campaign was bogeyman Rudy Giuliani. He seems tight with Mitt Romney and Romney policies. In his victory speech he prominently and unreservedly praised Ted Kennedy. He's spoken in favor of alternative green energy technologies and has said the battle over gay marriage in the state is settled. And at some point you can depend the Obama administration will find issues his state would wish and demand he support. That's a lot of failed litmus tests for both the purists and the paulists.
Will people accept the reality that a centrist is better then a Kennedy Machine puppet? Or can we look forward yet again to Truth Files, barrages of RINO and traitor accusations, and snide and petty posts about his nude modeling photos.
Once the health bill is settled it will be interesting to see how long before the sugar buzz ends and the daggers come out.

I suggest you open your own eyes and take a closer look at Brown. I’d start with his last debate. Seriously. The ethics of both those candidates are in the toilet and those who supported either one, have no respect for the Constitution.

One othere interesting tid bit about LTC Brown. Despite being in his 40’s when we took our Physical Training test last October (He’s part of Joint Forces HQ working for the JAG)he finished 2nd in the run out of over 150 soldiers finishing in just under 13 minutes for 2 miles. The guy is motivated.
He will carry the mail in 95% of Conservative issues. You all should be thanking your lucky stars.

For the moment all I want from the GOP is complete negation of Zero’s agenda; when they come back into power I’ll start criticising their program.
Seems to me they are only interested in ratings and cashing in.

I hope you are wrong about him being “big-government”, he’s probably not “limited-government” though.
I couldn’t send him money because of his currently professed abortion stance, but I didn’t tell anybody not to vote for him, and I’m happy he won. I think that makes me a hypocrit, but I can’t help how I feel.
There were some freepers who stuck to their principles, and while I might disagree with them tactically, I wouldn’t argue with them about the merits of their case.

Let’s also all remember: Brown is 1 senator, from an uber-liberal state. Even if he was to the right of God Himself, he can’t snap his fingers and presto-changeo everything to conservative “purity” all by himself. Let’s not get carried away investing too much in his ability, real or imagined, or ANY issue.

Brown’s campaign seems to have said RNC was there from the beginning, but that they stayed quiet about it because he didn’t want it to look like he was an out-of-state-run candidacy. That’s also why Sarah Palin said she didn’t endorse him earlier.
Given that they were trying to keep their involvement secret, I don’t think we’ll ever know exactly what they did. Apparently, they sent people up to help Brown’s campaign. And apparently, from Brown’s speech, McCain gave him help as well.
We could well find out that other conservative politicians specifically didn’t help him because he asked them not to get involved.
Doesn’t that speak volumes regarding the RNC? We the people need to find our own candidates, the RNC has no business picking who we should vote for. Look what happened in NY with THEIR pick. I think we are all sick to death of having the decisions made for us, being told what is important to us. The RNC is not box of chocolates, they are condescending too. They are just as guilty of nepotism as the dems.
And we would have been assured of those things if we had gone along with you and not voted for Scott Brown.
