Did the Minnesota Vikings run up the score on the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday's NFC divisional playoff? Keith Brooking(notes) thinks so. A late Brett Favre(notes) touchdown pass infuriated the Dallas linebacker, who charged over to the Vikings' sideline to voice his displeasure. And in his postgame press conference he didn't back down. The Vikings had held a comfortable 27-3 lead since the early part of the fourth quarter. Dallas looked completely deflated after going down 24 points and the team's subsequent play did nothing to dispel that notion. On the Cowboys' next two possessions the team went four-and-out, gaining a mere 14 yards on eight plays.

cowboys are still losers and so are you... but you know that
And that includes Rice's walk-in TD after the man covering him fell down on the job.
Cheers!
You nailed it! It was totally classless for the Vikes to run up the score at the end of the game after everyone already knew they had won. .....A running play or even a kneel down would have displayed some class, as often happens in the NCAA games. .....The Vikes have just created a possible rivalry with the ‘Boys that hasn’t existed for decades. ....Payback will occur in the future.
Married, I guess he is as he has a wedding band on it this picture, which I think is odd being that Troy lives in Texas.
Was it classless for the Cowboys to run-up the score on the Eagles for two weeks in a row?
Or, is it only classless when the Cowboys defense fails to stop a 40 year old former alcoholic and drug addict from scoring a touchdown?
Former? Bet you money he still on the dope. I doubt all those trips to mexico years ago were just for the underage women.
If that is the case, Brett is even more amazing if he can score four touchdowns against the mighty Cowboys while he is drunk and strung out on OxyContin.
Apples and oranges.
What was the point of the Vikes tossing an easy TD pass, on 4th down and up 27-3 with less than two minutes left in the game? ....Every team in the league would have expected the offense to just kneel down or run a play into the middle, because they knew there wasn’t enough time left to make a difference. ....The game was played to win a spot in the NFC title game. The Vikes already had that cinched. The last TD was an affront and I can understand Brooking’s anger. .....Yes, I’ve been a ‘Boys fan since they began playing at the Cotton Bowl, but there was no excuse for how badly they got their tails whupped by the Vikes.
All this crap about play 60 mins, this is the post-season, etc. is from people with selective memories. Teams take knees in post-season games all the time. Even Superbowls.
It was classless, and rarely done in the NFL. But, Farve being a jerk is nothing new. The Saints could have clobbered Warner with a clean hit in that game, but actually held the hurt QB up after making contact.
And as for who is America's Team, the Cowboys will pull in more dollars on merchandise this year than whoever wins the Supoerbowl.
As I understand it, there are 60 not 58 minutes in a football game. And that being the case, those who play in the Cowboys defense should play the entire 60 minutes and they should not go crying to Brett and crying to the media about a 40 year old former alcoholic and OxyContin junkie scoring touchdowns while they slack in the secondary.
Note to Cowboys defenders: if you dont like to see opponents score touchdowns, youre allowed to try paid to stop them.
The Cowgirls are the biggest showboaters to ever play the game.
It took a low budget team with an antique quarterback in an antique stadium to make them cry.
PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and watching Rice saunter into the end zone while the defender laid on the ground crying was hilarious.
I’ll remember this game more than any I’ve ever seen.
I respectfully suggest hockey over Rugby or Football.
I’m guessing you didn’t sdee Dallas Giving Peterson the Business on the runnning play right before the touchdown...
A defensive lineman dropped a knee on peterson’s chest...While I think it was a linbacker kicked him in the head.
More than enough reason to throw the pass on 4th. Dallas was truely classless on that last drive.
Got what they deserved.
Brookings wasn’t whining when they were “running up the score” against Philly (2 times in a row)..
he needs to think about his “panties on the ground”.

The Dallas defense are paid professional, if they didn’t like the Vikes scoring they should have stopped them.
That said, Favre has no class.
It really wasn’t an “easy” TD pass. The Dallas rush got in Brett’s face at the time he threw the ball Brett was 9 yards behind the line of scrimmage with a Dallas defender 1 yard from him. ( http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2010011700/2009/POST19/cowboys@vikings#tab:watch ) And given the rush they put on I don’t think Dallas thought they were kneel.
There are some things that you don’t do unless you want to show disrespect for the other team. A team with a 10-run lead in the 8th inning of a major league baseball game will not try to steal bases, sacrifice bunt, hit and run, etc. They still play, and if they get hits and drive in runs they will still try to score. But they don’t pull tricks or try to “manufacture” runs because it is considered classless and disrespectful.
When a professional football team is at the point that a first down will allow them to run out the clock and they already have a multi-touchdown lead, they will usually run the ball and if they break the run for a score - fine - but they don’t throw a pass to the end zone. That is, unless they want to disrespect and show up their opponent. If they want to do that, that is their business, but it just demonstrates that they are classless jerks. They have a right to be classless jerks if they want to, and obviously they enjoy exercising that right.
Did you think people in Texas don't get married or wear wedding rings? Yes, Troy is married to a very attractive woman and they have at least one child, a daughter I believe.
