Well, here it is, the final game of the 2009 college football season. For much of the bowl season, I've had to work, get my car fixed, and Google search any insignificant question and computer problem my grandparents call me about. (You would think with their age and guile they'd have the answers to various things readily available. You would think). So needless to say, this has kept me from my assigned college football commenting duties. For that I apologize, but tonight I will get the festivities going. So without further ado...
The BCS National Championship Game: Alabama vs. Texas (8:00 pm) From the moment this matchup was set, I've been pondering what the key to this game should be and ultimately what it will be. Could it be the Longhorn offensive line having a chance to contain the legendary Mt. Cody? How about the Tide secondary and what they'll have to do to contain Jordan Shipley? And let us not forget the mystery of chessboxing that could occur between Nick Saban and Mack Brown. But I keep hearing that the Tide are going to make mince meat of the Horns, and that kind of ignores recent history. What did we learn from the last time we saw Texas in a title game? We should have learned not to count them out, right? So keep this in mind before we coronate a team in a game like this. In my usual neutral third party kind of observational style though, that doesn't necessarily mean that the Tide aren't every bit as good as advertised. I happen to think so, for whatever that's truly worth.
The last CFB thread of the year.....wipes away tears, LOL!!!!
Other things to keep the fairly attractive late 20’s Boise resident busy....
(his words, not mine!!)
Provide full analysis of the Senior Bowl and all that pre-NFL draft stuff......
Break down the entire first round of said NFL Draft.....
Break down the NCAA Tournament play in game......
Predict how many games the Giants will finish out of 1st in the NL WEST.....
Put up a thread on ways to pick up girls, by Tiger Woods.....
Is this the year for RAIDER NATION????
And then, say hello to the 2010 CFB season!!!

and btw, find his way to South Bend to root on his beloved UTES!!!
Actually, Iowa did. I was being sarcastic to the SEC lover cause Penn State did beat LSU.
Amen to all of that.
Time to make a big batch of BS Chili! OOPs, I mean BCS Chili. :-}
Thanks for the thread!
Bevo steps out of his trailer as he arrives at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley, California, on Tuesday Jan. 5, 2010. Cory Howell, one of the four Silver Spurs, who drove Bevo from Texas to California, helps Bevo out of the trailer.

I tried to take this to my bookie.....
RAVENS 27
RAIDERS 10
But thanks to the officials forgetting the Raiders were on the field, a phantom PI call on 3rd and long gave the Raiders a first down which led to their only TD of the day.
And I know, the 2 missed FG’s didn’t help much either......
I’d like to think that talent wise, this game is about even steven. I’ve been leaning towards Alabama with Mark Ingraham and Javier Arenas playing a big role at some point....
But we shall see....
And this just in. Eric Mangini is not going to be fired by the Browns.........
DAMN!!!!
I would pull for the Taliban over the redneck, inbred monotoothed, trailer dwelling bammers...
They will win though...dang it...
Hook-Em!

Hey, you forgot about the East-West Shrine Game and the Hula Bowl.
Break down the entire first round of said NFL Draft.
It's so nice that the Draft starts later in the day now. Those 9am starts when I still lived in Reno were absolutely brutal.
Break down the NCAA Tournament play in game.
Better yet, how about all of the regional semis and regional final games at Reliant Stadium for that portion of the tournament, which I should be in attendance for if my brother doesn't drop the ball on getting tickets.
Predict how many games the Giants will finish out of 1st in the NL WEST.
Hey, we've got Mark DeRosa now. Look out, we'll now only lose games 3-2 this year instead of 2-1 or 1-0.

I could always use the help, but not thatkind of help.
Is this the year for RAIDER NATION????
Its always the year for the Raider Nation! :)

I have to find a way to make it to the Notre Dame game this year. It's one of those locations in America that I think a person must see.
Coach Saban is not all that tolerant of penalties.
You don't really mean that.
Hook em Horns!
I wouldn’t have fired Mangini, Cleveland definitely was much improved down the stretch, and I think it earned him to the opportunity to see if it carries over to next season.
Like an old rug! Roll Tide!
“It’s rollin’, baby, it’s rollin’” /Obligatory Mike Price reference
Hook ‘em Horns!
See...that’s what pisses me off about Auburn fans. When Auburn isn’t playing Alabama I am 100% for Auburn, but Auburn fans just don’t reciprocate.
