Of the top ten, I only have the Wii, but I can tell you first hand our family is quite happy with the “Perfect Brownie” kit we got for Christmas!
Cheers!

Let’s you stream your cable from your house to your laptop/desktop anywhere you get internet access. In essence...whatever is playing on you home tv you can watch on your computer elsewhere.

I have none of those 10 gadgets... and somehow I’m surviving.

The awesome gadget that makes a lot of these possible is the SD card, and it’s cousins the mini and micro SD.

I kind of like that electric can opener you just pop on the top of the can and it does all the work! Snuggies aren’t to shabby either.

I am proud to say that I do not own any of them.
My latest best gadget is a kitchen garbage can that is “touchless”. It has an infra red electric eye that can “see” your hand and open itself, then close itself. My garbage stealing dogs are terrified of it. Heh!

Interestingly many are being combined. The iPod has morphed into the iPhone. And you can download your DVR over your phone. And my car links with my phone and schedules oil changes.
In 2000 you had to have a bunch of gadgets, now you only need two gadgets clipped to your belt, an Internet enabled phone, and a Swiss Army Knife. If they stick a bottle opener and a pair tweezers onto the phone we will be good to go.

I don’t know if it’s considered a “gadget” for purposes of this discussion, but I think the HDTV was a real eye-opener for me. HD is light-years beyond the old analog sets. They’ve also come down in price so much, they’re almost ubiquitous.

Slingbox is a device that lets you watch your local cable connection over the internet.
If you have a slingbox hooked up to the cable in your house and a compatible phone, you can watch a locally televised game from anywhere you have signal.

Perhaps just next in the spectrum of computer interfaces, but the development and maturation of USB and associated devices (thumb drives, power, etc.) in the 00’s was significant.
