Lots of red dirt, here on the High Dessert - but no water. (I WISH there was!)

I keep a bowl filled with fresh water in the front, for all the thirsty critters.

And my 13yr.old yorkie is named DOG ( d’Ogee )! She has been a wonderful gift for all these years!

MORE CRITTERS AT YORKIE'S PLACE

Luv, I took this one last spring
(or was it two years ago?)

Usually the javelina have twins
And, they are so fun to watch.
Mama usually brought them up to the house
the day after they were born
to teach them how to find seed under the bird feeders.

This one doesn't seem to be too interested in discarded seed, though. LOL!

It’s amazing how unafraid they are to come right up to your
feeder. I guess they know you only hunt with the camera! :D

Oh, I have tried to scare them away, because they do major damage to the place. But, they know me by now, and just look at each other and snicker.

Once, a javelina came very close to the front porch. Tiapam grabbed the plastic snow shovel and I grabbed the squirt gun. We chased it, thinking we were so brave! My daughter and her husband almost passed out from laughing so hard - at two little old ladies thinking they were so tough - they could frighten a huge wild pig with a plastic shovel and squirt gun!
