Thank you so much Lori.
It is so comforting to have prayer warriors “ beside” me as I go to the hospital soon.

Quiet Time With God
He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. —Psalm 23:2
The word connected captures our contemporary experience of life. Many people rarely go anywhere without a cell phone, iPod, laptop, or pager. We have become accessible 24 hours a day. Some psychologists see this craving to stay connected as an addiction. Yet a growing number of people are deliberately limiting their use of technology. Being a “tech-no” is their way of preserving times of quiet, while limiting the flow of information into their lives.

Many followers of Christ find that a daily time of Bible reading and prayer is essential in their walk of faith. This “quiet time” is a disconnection from external distractions in order to connect with God. The “green pastures” and “still waters” of Psalm 23:2 are more than an idyllic country scene. They speak of our communion with God whereby He restores our souls and leads us in His paths (v.3).

All of us can make time to meet with God, but do we? In Robert Foster’s booklet “7 Minutes With God,” he suggests a way to begin: Start with a brief prayer for guidance, then read the Bible for a few minutes, and close with a short time of prayer that includes adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication for others. It’s vital to take time today to connect with the Lord, who is our life.

We need to set aside the time
To read God’s Word and pray,
And listen for the Spirit’s voice
To guide us in His way. —Sper

Time spent with God is time well spent.

"Since that is true, we should get a chihuahua."

There is such an abundance of chihuahuas, that the Humane Society was giving them away, in Phoenix last month. (Seems like they had over 300.) I have heard that they think they are BIG, and snap easily. Also, I have heard they tend to shiver and shake all the time. Of course, these are just things I have heard - so not sure. Now yorkies? That is another story. They are small, loving, sweet, loyal (not too bright) dogs.

On Your Birthday
by Unknown

May your spirit keep the freedom
of a butterfly in spring
and your heart be filled always
with the joys of simple things.
May your essence claim the freshness
of the new laid morning dew.
All of this...and more...
is my Birthday wish for you.

Happy Birthday, Tiapam!

Good morning, Billie.
Thank you for another great Taylor Hicks and the lovely graphic.

It looks like FR has been having server problems again.
Sure hope they are back for good.
I couldn't get windows to open last night;
this morning FR was down for awhile.

I should have accomplished something but
I spent the time checking to see if FR was back. LOL

Have a Terrific Thursday.
I'm going to listen to Taylor Hicks again. :)

Hi, you two! Wanted to say your WFW opening yesterday was adorable! Really cute the way you put that together, Lori. Love all those little cuties you used in the quotes. :)

Good morning, Billie. Thank you.

Good to see you today .... I think everyone gave up this morning. I’m still trying to decide whether to hang around or go do some laundry and vacuuming. :)

A little birdie has let it slip that today is the anniversary of your debut into this ol’ world. Please allow me to take this opportunity to congratulate you as you celebrate the occasion and remind you to do so with at least a modicum of restraint.

And, if that’s not possible, then go ahead and have the biggest best-est birthday bash you possibly can!

How pretty that whole graphic is, Amy! The colors are great together. You have always had such a knack for matching your frames and borders to the graphic you're 'doing'.

Am glad you're enjoying Taylor's "The Right Place" again - it was the highlight (IMO) of his Taylor Hicks album. I may post on Tuesday what I think is the highlight of his current CD - have posted several of the songs from it but not 'the prettiest' yet.

jaycee will swoon. :)
