THE TEN MANLIEST FIREARMS
Arthur's Hall of Viking Manliness ^ | N/A | Crazy Einar

Posted on 12/24/2009 6:56:55 PM PST by parsifal

This was a hard piece to write, because guns by definition are manly, except for Berettas, gold-plated TEC9s, .25 caliber pistols or anything made by the French. To simplify things, I have limited it to modern cartridge firearms a man might, can, and should collect and shoot. There are certainly other manly weapons, and you may have a different list. As long as the list contains nothing French, gold-plated, .25 or with pearl grips (which Patton correctly observed are the mark of a New Orleans pimp), it is a good list.

Im out in the sticks, dial up only sorry I cant watch the video

Does a job on a car but one shot seems limiting. Know where these were used? Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TC2xTCb_GU

IrishCatholic: I like the RPG, little heavy for coyotes though.

Guy is an Aussie. Maybe he uses it for roos.

Pretty good list.
Last one on the .50 was priceless....LOL.
Going thru what the panty-waste metrosexuals would call an “arsenal”, I have found 3 of the 10 in there. Like another poster said, “let the libturds figure out which ones”.

parsy, who got a new guitar for Christmas

Go to iTunes, Amazon or Barnes and Noble and in music search enter Celtic Fiddle Festival. A lot of excellent guitar work also.

This is the result of an over indulgence of AR add-ons.

Nice sawed off but very illegal

Only in the Democrat's world... I hold that almost no weapons that can be carried by a free man should be "illegal."

Five out of ten. Not bad. Agree with you on the Dan Wesson. I’ve got a 15-2VH8 with three accessory barrels. I use the 8” barrel for target stuff, around home. The 6” is great in a shoulder rig under a jacket. The 4” sits nicely in a belt holster, and the 2” makes a statement for the wife, in her purse. I pack it with HK SpeedLoaders and a nice 125gr JHP custom load that is rather potent on most everything it hits. The 6” was the choice for my first qualification shoot in the Police Academy, many years back.
But, my all around favorite is the venerable 1911A1 running 230gr ball ammo in Chip McCormick 8-rd mags (for the perps that can count).
And, a Barrett would be a very nice addition to the arsenal. But, the financial gods have not been kind, of late. So, that will have to wait.

I’m kinda partial to the Panzerfaust, but then I’m sentimental for those cool German weapon names.

Does the Dan Wesson sound a lot louder than any other 357? I had a Ruger and a S&W as i recall, and neither of them were as loud as the Dan Wesson. Scairt myself to death first time i fired it.

parsy, who learned to wear ear muffs

the Howda pistol has been around a long time. Manly? How about one in dual .577 Snider? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howdah_pistol

Twice in my life I have had a best friend that sometimes wore a version of that, they could hang it from their necks inside their jackets.

A double rifle in .450 Nitro Express.

1. Used to kill heavy game like elephants, rhinos and cape buffalo

2. Carried by Teddy Roosevelt to kill elephants, rhinos, and cape buffalo

3. I would carry one if I had to kill...a T-Rex or another type of dinosaur.

you may also carry a Lee-Enfield #4 Mk 1 and feel just as manly, it being the final offpsring of the line.

What about the No5 Mk 1, the so called "Jungle Carbine" ?
