Authorities in Winona are considering whether to charge a woman accused of grabbing a man by the genitals and yanking hard enough for him to need stitches.
Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams tells the Winona Daily News the 54-year-old woman faces possible charges of domestic assault, third-degree assault and interfering with a 911 call.
Officers were called Friday night to a domestic disturbance in Winona. Williams says the man pulled down his underwear for police and showed them a large tear on his genitals.
Williams says the woman denied grabbing the man, telling officers he had cut himself.
The man was taken to a hospital for stitches. The woman bailed herself out of jail on Saturday.
Charges had not been filed by Tuesday.

Maybe he deserved it, doing something or being obnoxious to her. Maybe he did cut himself cause he has a grudge against her.
Either way, I find it somewhat funny that a 54 year old woman was in this situation. IMHO, if it comes to this there is usually provocation.

Just saying I’ve never found women that aggressive unless in a self-defense mode. If you think that’s blaming the victim, so be it.
Some men are psychologically challenged just like some women. As for Lorena Bobbitt, as much as he was an a**hole, she went overboard.
Yes, there are some women always aggressive in this manner (against men and others) but they are few and far between in my experience.
I am glad you can decide from the facts presented that the victim is always right. That is not always the case in this real world. Sometimes the facts of crime and violence are not what is presented by the reporter.
My comments were my initial take on the facts presented in the article. Nothing more. My opinion comes from a Law Enforcement background for 20+ years.
It’s just an opinion and not worth a plug nickel. We really need more facts, cause we do not know what really happened. Even though some reported gave you a 50 or so word article.
