Lately the news has not been good - understatement of the year.
If you can spare two hours to have a "mood enhancing" moviegoing experience - please go see "Blind Side" with Sandra Bullock.

I generally wait until the DVD is released to see movies; I may catch this one in the theater. Either way, I will buy it as soon as it’s available...I’ve been looking forward to it for a few months. I love football!
I’m so glad you started this thread. It’s a great movie, fine acting by Sandra Bullock and others. Very uplifting as you said.
The real family is from Memphis. They are an inspiration to all. Hope lots of people see this movie.

Yes, close your eyes when they show the replay of Joe Theirmann being tackled by Lawrence Taylor. (I do remember when that actually happened and it is horrible to see).

I hope they do too! I did read that it is “surprise” hit - that had outpaced some other movies expected to do much better than this one.....
There are not many movies that EVERYONE can see and enjoy - but this is one of them!
And, it is not sappy - just very warmhearted, and extremely encouraging - because it is actually about real people and real events.
Of course Sandra Bullock and the others in the cast make it so very endearing....

Yep - good - very few movies are worth paying the admission price to see - but, to me, this is one of them....AND like you I will purchase it when it comes out later.
A young person I was trying to encourage to see this told me she was NOT a football fan so she didn’t want to go see it. I tried to tell her that it helps if you like football - but even if you don’t - it is well worth going to see....hopefully she’ll take me up on it.
I also saw it last night with my wife and a group of friends. I agree, very uplifting. Funny in places and heartfelt in others. Well worth the time.

Many of you have probably seen “Blind Side”, the movie.
It is excellent, it espouses Christian values, and it is very uplifting in a “down” time.
Hope some who have not seen it but would enjoy such a heartwarming, faith boosting, film based on a true story - will be able to find time to do so over this Christmas season.
If not now - see it when it comes out on video.
But if you could use a “lift” to your spirits - well - this movie may be for you.
It was for me and I am so glad to have seen it today! It came at just the right time....for me. Maybe it will for you too.

I watched it online about week or so, ago.
Just another holly weird movie to make white folks feel guilty for conditions caused by the folks who want to make them feel guilty!
I saw it and loved it. I’d recommend it to anyone.
