Lately the news has not been good - understatement of the year.
If you can spare two hours to have a "mood enhancing" moviegoing experience - please go see "Blind Side" with Sandra Bullock.
Yes, Sandra Bullock is very lovely.
And gracious.
And funny.
And, in reality, a very caring person in a very vane business.
So glad she did this movie!

I absolutely agree. This is a fantastic movie. Got my husband to take me last week. It was funny, entertaining, suspenseful and uplifting. This is one movie that does not portray conservative Christians as backwards hicks.
I have never really been a big Sandra Bullock fan but I really liked her work in this movie. The kid who plays Michael Oher, made me want to hug him. What a wonderful young man Oher is in this movie.
The only thing I had trouble with is the opening with the Washington Redskins and how it related to the rest of the story. I had to cover my eyes because I remember the event when I saw it live years ago. It was the worse thing I have ever witnessed in pro football and I never want to see anything like it again. It gives me the chills just thinking about it. For those in the know, it is the reason why Joe Theismann no longer plays football.
For those not in the know you don’t want to know. But as bad as that scene was for me, the rest of the movie was so wonderful, it made me forget all about Joe Theismann’s trouble. I really enjoyed myself and I wish movie makers would put more movies together like this.

OH good - I do hope its showing in a theater near you. It’s been out for quite a few weeks - but it has been so well received - it is sort of a Surprise (pleasant one) and they have kept it in the theaters through the Christmas season...for good reason!
I am sure the movie cynics, uh, critics, hate it - but all the more reason to find time to see it!!! Judge for yourself - but it is just fantastic and funny and you’ll love some of the one liners....:-) (And it’s based on the TRUTH!!! - Gotta love that!)

Oh - I shut my eyes during that Joe Theisman injury sequence because I had seen it before also and could not watch it again....but it is an essential explanation to the story....so I understand why it was in there.
Yes, indeed, THIS is what good movies are all about and I hope it is such a huge hit that many more like it will be made!
This one s definitely a keeper and one I will purchase when it comes out on video to be able to see and to share again and again.
Yes, I’ve heard a lot about it and know the story. Huckabee had the family on his Saturday show this past weekend. They’re a beautiful Christian family. The mom siad Sandra Bullock played her very well, and of course artistic license was taken, but the movie captured the essence of the true events and that’s what matters. I’m anxious to see it. I’m so happy you posted about it!

Yes the blonde hair was a bit unusual to see on her - at first - but later I just thought it made her that much more beautiful.
