First, some good news for Tiger Woods: no new mistresses came forward this weekend so the list unofficially stands at 14. And John Daly has even offered his counsel.
Now the bad news: Tiger's mother is apparently "angry and disappointed" by her son's behavior. And rumors persist that Elin Nordegren will seek to divorce Woods, probably sometime after the holidays.
Via the New York Post:
"She wants 100 percent divorce, 100 percent custody of the children, and half of everything. And she won't be changing her mind," a confidant of the Swedish stunner told the British tab[loid News of the World]. The hard-line stance stems from Woods' refusal to seek help for his twin addictions to sex and pills, the paper reported. ...
"Tiger was supposed to be working on getting better, and he hasn't done anything," said Nordegren's pal. "Elin is livid that he hasn't checked into rehab and gotten himself off his drugs. He's acting like a big baby."
The Post puts "half of everything" at $300 million. As for Woods, who hasn't been seen in public since halftime of the Cal-Stanford game on Nov. 21, People.com's Linda Marx hears things (via SbB):
Woods and a group of buddies, including some golfers, have left North Palm Beach, according to a source who has seen the golfer's 155-ft. luxury yacht. "Tiger's boat Privacy has been docked at Old Port Cove in North Palm Beach for more than a week," the source tells People. "On Saturday morning, after stocking up on provisions from Costco on Northlake Blvd., the boat left town."
Another source tells People that Woods, 33, is going to cruise in the Bahamas for a few days after hanging around the Palm Beach Gardens area this past week.
Whatever happens to Tiger off the course, the consensus seems to be that he should get back to playing golf as soon as possible, take the media glare off his personal problems, and focus on winning tournaments. Daly was right: "... As soon as he comes out he's probably going to win, and then everything's forgotten..."
NoBody deserves that sort of money unless they earn it. If she didn’t know of his behavior before she married him she was a fool. If she did and still married him, which I suspect, she can live on a million or two a year.
I find it unbelievable that she did not know of his behavior. When you have two or three wimmin, that’s one thing that may be able to be hidden.....but 6 or MORE? To effin way!

She’s going to get everything she’s asking for, for one good reason. Assuming that he doesn’t spiral downwards into a self-destructive pattern of behavior, the general consensus is that once he gets back to playing, and winning..he can rebuild his image, and earnings..over time. It won’t be easy..it will take lots of skillful PR and really good handlers, but he has plenty of those. IOW, his future earnings potential..especially as he nears Nicklaus’ record of most wins in Majors..is his single greatest assest. The one thing that could upset all those plans..is if Elin talks...writes a book, does an interview with Oprah or Barbara Wawa..admits to something even worse than we already know...like.. he contracted an STD from one of his bimbos and gave it to her...so she’ll get all the $$$ in return for her ironclad promise of absolute silence...my predcition, after the divorce and settlement are final..you will never hear her say his name in public again..indeed...she has a fairly reclusive, Garbo-like personality..is it a trait of all Scandinavian women?...so I suspect she’ll “disappear” from the public view..

You have to be kidding. My husband doesn’t make 300 million but his money is my money. I stay at home and take care of the children. He doesn’t have to pay for childcare, cooking, cleaning, laundry care because I stay at home. Is my contribution worth nothing because he is the one that officially makes the money? Attitudes like that are the downfall of marriage “she doesn’t work, it’s his money”.
I don’t know divorce law at all. Never mind the prenup, can she actually get hold of his assets from before the marriage. His sled named “Rosebud” for example?
Did your husband have the 300 million from BEFORE you were married? Were you married for only 2 years? Did you sign a prenup?
I have to wonder if Elin didn’t already know what was going on and knew that once he put a ring on it she’d be able to blow the whistle at any time and walk away with half his money.

The man humiliated her in front of the entire world. He better pay. She isn’t a hooker. She took vows that as far as we are all aware, she has honored. Tiger OTOH has not.

He DID have one...the vengeance is mine crowd thinks she should take everything anyway...evidently living up to a shitty agreement between two dubious characters who obviously were NOT in love and got married anyway should only apply to the man...she doesn't have to live up to HER end of the shitty deal, even though she entered into it willingly...WTF did she think she was signing, anyway?
Interesting application of rights...he's a bastard, has always been one, according to everyone that knows him, was one when she married him, didn't think enough of her to marry her with out a pre-nup (and she didn't think enough of herself to tell him to stick the pre-nup and go on down the road, which most women do, unless there is enough money involved) and now there's a big uproar that she should be able to flout everything and he should be destroyed.
Why did she think he wanted a prenup, other than this was a very possible outcome? Why did she sign, unless she figured on rolling the dice?
Not very flattering portrait of either one of these two, if you ask me. A pox on both their houses...and if the kids are so important, try to get by on the 100 million you are offered, don't (further) screw up the kids and don't kill the goose, because there won't be any extras comig their way...not that 100 million goes as as far as it used to...
i suppose golf fans are free to worship him as a golfer, but he has proven himself to be scum as a human being and father. i had no opinion on him one way or the other prior to this. His screwing up his kids lives, i find totally reprehensible.

If they play by California rules then she will be generally unhappy. It is nearly impossible in this state to get 100% custody. Half is not likely but they will set a dollar amount for child support which will be substantial.
Not necessarily. In California it is a not fault community property state. Unless specifically excluded everything becomes part of the marital assets. Plus the fact those funds will be counted as assets when child support is figured out. Since the marriage was only a five yea marriage it will be deemed short term and some value will be placed for alimony but it will be short lived. Child support will continue at least until the kids are 18 ——older depending on the attorneys. That is at a minimum. What they negotiate will be interesting

If TW was a regular Joe with a plumbing business worth $100,000 - no-one would blink an eye at a 50/50 divorce settlement.
TW asked Elin to marry him - & promised to forsake all others etc., etc.,
He lied - and she is dealing with the most destructive betrayal in a marriage - INFIDELITY!!!
As the devastated mother of his two children, she is entitled to compensation. No amount of money will ever be enough to heal the damage he has done to her dignity and sense of trust in another human being.
To get over a man - run and find another one. Run Elin!
