Brittany Murphy Dies

Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.

She was 32.

A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.

Murphy was about 1/2 of the way through the inevitable drug transformation from beauty to walking corpse, when her heart gave out.

In her younger years she was in a movie with Joe Penny called Double Jeopardy. Cute girl, not sickly thin then.

Later I saw her in The Prophecy II movie looking a little thin but still not sickly.

Later on after a few years I saw her in another movie and was shocked at how bad she looked.

PS...just because I must be treading in the shallow end of the GhoulPool...I found that Ms. Murphy would ‘start’ a whole new threesome (deathwise that is...)

Jennifer Jones (actress—elderly); Chris Henry (Cincy Bengal—troubled to say the least) and Dan O’Bannon (of Scream and weirdness fame) all passed on December 17.

LiLo looked awful in some photos (called modeling) that I saw last week on WWTDD...so she is zipping to numero uno; with our gal Wino (maybe overly celebrating her ‘engagement’ at number two—but—’her Blake’ could also ‘over celebrate’ so I have them at a tie.)

Same kinda thing going on around the lips too.

Well, without revealing any personal experiences, I can say this. When somebody gets into drugs, no matter how much you want them to change, they won’t. They won’t change until there is something in their life that they want MORE than drugs.

For me, it was my wife. Sadly, she passed fairly young, and I have been single for a long time.

But I never went back to drugs. And God willing, I never will.

UPDATE 3:11 PM ET — Sources tell TMZ Brittany Murphy’s mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. We’re told when paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR. They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center — several miles away — and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

We’re told the LA County Coroner’s is picking up Murphy’s body from Cedars later today and will launch an investigation.

I don't know how many people OD in the shower. Maybe it was non-drug related.

Strange, yesterday when I read one of the posts abpout no one seeing him, I wondered if he might be dead. Y’know, sending the cops away repeatedly, and other weird stuff. Stranger things have happened.

Thanks for the link maggie. Murphy looked ‘bad’ but not deathly ‘bad.’ Her speech was somewhat slurred and halting...but no so much as to raise warning flags.

TMZ is reporting her mom (mom staying with her?) found her ‘unresponsive’ in the shower. Which seems odd? Mom in the house; taking a shower...not the MO I would assume someone who was using crack. TMZ also says the LA Coroner to do autopsy.
