Tiger Woods devastated wife has called in Californias top celebrity divorce lawyer, say her friends.
And Elin Nordegren rocked by her husbands string of alleged affairs could get half the £337.5million he has earned in the five years they have been married.
The 29-year-old Swedish model, seen out in Florida yesterday minus her wedding ring, is believed to be meeting celebrity lawyer Sorrell Trope next week.
Trope, 82, a partner in Californian law firm Trope and Trope, has represented big-name stars including Cary Grant, Nicole Kidman, Nicolas Cage and Britney Spears in a 60-year career.
And in another blow to Woods, Elin is believed to be planning to file for divorce in California where the couple have a home and not Florida, where they live.
Under California law the no-fault divorce, introduced in 1970, means there is an equal division of assets and property.
This could mean that any pre-nup agreement Elin signed with the golf star will be torn up.
A source said: Mr Trope is the best divorce lawyer in the business and the divorce laws in California are much more favourable than most other states.
Elin can fight for half of what her husband has earned since they were married. And Trope can bust through any pre-nup hes done it many times before.
Last night, when asked if he was representing Woods wife as her divorce lawyer, Trope replied: Not right now.
Friends say Elin will spend Christmas in Orlando with the couples children, daughter Sam Alexis, two, and son Charlie Axel, 10 months, before filing for divorce in the New Year.

“The Lady and/or the Tiger”
If this is true, I hope Tiger divides the number of women he has slept with since marrying her and rings that up as the amount he paid for each woman. The big question is. Were they worth it Tiger? (of course we haven’t even calculate the emotional cost to the children.)
That was some expensive tail that Tiger got himself.
Hope it was worth it.
If she wants half the money, she should have played and won half the tournaments that Tiger won, instead of him.
She should get something reasonable plus of course a lot of child support, but it is unrealistic to claim that she contributed to half of the earnings by Tiger.
Greedy _itch!
Hell hath no fury....
But WTF does a state get to invalidate a contract between two parties?

So it was always about the money. Now we know...
That's not what it means. Don't these journalist have lawyers that they consult?
FL is a "equitable distribution", not a community property state. The division of assets in FL is not an automatic 50/50 split, although that's possible, but VERY unlikely in a marriage under 5 years. Also, Tiger I'm sure has a prenup. If his attorneys exposed him to liability in excess of $50 million in a prenup, then his attorneys are incompetent. Believe me, his attorneys aren't incompetent.
I doubt it with their prenup
Elin is endanger from going from a very sympathetic figure to being a gold digger. This is a terrible PR move.
Except for the hookers they all seemed like skanks who were used to giving it away.
Hate to break it to you, but his money was mostly earned in advertising. The value of his name was increased by his “wholesome, family image” that he cultivated by marrying and having children.
She went into the marriage assuming that it would be a monogamous relationship. She should get at least half of his fortune and the kids as well.
Some state case law (and even statutory law) makes it possible to sue to amend, or even invalidate (although that's rare) prenups. This is most frequently seen in circumstances of domestic violence. I would think that FL isn't much different in this regard, although I'm not precisely sure what the law in that state with respect to this issue.
And she did what to deserve that money? Family court is such a gynocracy in this country.
But, but, but how will he pay for all his whores?
One article stated the pre-nup am’t. to be $300 mil.
