Yes, I loved those films also, but especially loved
Goodbye Lenin, laugh out loud funny with the fake news casts and also Sophie Scholl

Not technically a “movie”, but I vote for “Band of Brothers”.

Are you looking forward to “The Road” coming out soon?
The “no country” author must be thrilled to have another book put to film.

Christian Bale fan I see :) Now excuse me while I return some video tapes.
This is going to sound weird, but while I think Christian Bale has done some interesting roles, he has done real crap too (The Dark Night, Terminator Salvation, Equilibrium, etc). I am more of a fan of individual movies than of individual actors. I really respected him in “The Machinist”, because of what he had to go thru physically to play that part.

I know that the first film was released in 1999, but the “Horatio Hornblower” films on A&E were outstanding. IMHO

I liked Kill Bill but don’t find it to be the film that Pulp Fiction was (which I would place in the top 10 films from the 1990s). Maybe top 25.

I love Korean flicks but I know they are an acquired taste. My favorite scene in the Host was when everyone starts fighting at the funeral and the one guy double kicks the other guy in the chest. Only in a Korean flick. Love the vengeance flicks-Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. Tae Guk Gi was an awesome war film and Memories of Murder was a great cop movie-again with a double kick to the chest during an interrogation. Double kicks to the chestseem to be a normal part of life with the Koreans.

It's one of my top ten of all time. Ditto. And I amend my previous list to add it. Excellent movie.

5) UpEven though I hate enriching Asner, Up was wonderful. The first ten minutes of Up could be made into a feature-length movie.
I'm also a big fan of Second Hand Lions, Joe Dirt, and The World's Fastest Indian.

Ever see Mystery, Alaska?
It's pretty good. It came out in October, 1999, so it doesn't fit the criteria here.
