If he were single, like many other athletes, nobody would really care how many holes he conquered.
He lost credibility among decent people. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean much commercially these days.

He's married ... this makes an enormous difference. Especially when, at the end of winning a tournament, his kids and wife greet him with hugs & kisses as he walks off the final green.
Woods has done irreparable damage to his image ... his value to sponsors has plummeted.
Commercially it means a great deal ... Tiger is now a joke in spite of his golf skills. In the future, if he throws one of his tirade laden tantrums when he blows a shot ... people will think, what a spoiled f***ing jerk.

What has anything in your post got to do with Tiger's skill as a golfer?

I imagine that even his most ardent fans are disappointed in him as a person, but that does not alter his ability to play - and in many cases win - golf tournaments.

For the good of the sport he needs to take at least a year off. In a single week he has undone all the good he did for the image of golf. Trying to play this season would turn the tour into a media circus.

I agree, Tiger needs to take the year off if he wants to attempt to repair his now highly tarnished image. Not to mention if he wants to keep his wife and kids and have a family.

One can only imagine the outrage that the PGA audience feels about this, as well as the backbone of US consumer spending: mothers.

The initial reports indicated he had a bloody mouth, so that’s either from contacting the steering wheel or a 5 iron.

If Elin struck the vehicle with a club, it would only have been done out of anger imho.

Also, inital reports stated she was standing over him and he was on the ground. That was later changed to sitting next to him holding his hand.

I used to be a body builder in my 20’s. What you’re showing me there isn’t indicative of HGH and/or Steroid use. It’s indicative of a dedicated conditioning regime, however.

Seriously, it isn’t evidence of cheating. If there was real evidence, Palmer/Watson/Nicklaus ought to take him out and kill him. Maris’ family got seriously jobbed, in my opinion. Mays too.
