But it would have damaged his ego to know he had to pay for sex.

"The apple does not fall far from the tree." His parents might even have encouraged him. The media covered up for him. He will not recover.

I read a comparison to Jimmy Swaggart. Swaggart was really big time and getting bigger, then lost most of it due to scandals that involved far less women then Tiger Woods. OJ also did not recover.

They have two sets of rules at the PGA - Tiger rules and everyone else.

I guarantee you the rest of the POGA plyers are hating Tiger for screwing up like this

Watch all the purse $$$ drop without Tiger on the tour

Tiger should have been a Democratic politician, for them this kind of behavior is a career-enhancer.

I was unaware of his father and mother's past until now. btw, Tim McVeigh also was admired for his service.

golf is different from team sports though. Tiger doesn’t really have a “home” fan base of millions of NYers who want their team to win and don’t really car eboaut ARod.

You can’t really compare the two. His troubles only affect him, not a team.

Unless you consider The Ryder Cup.

Boy, you sound angry (and quick to judge me). I don’t mean to malign his dad. All I know is that the package was mom/dad/son, Tiger. No mention of other siblings that I ever heard of, almost as though they had been tossed aside and hidden away. I never saw them rooting their brother on at tournaments, never interviewed. It was as though they didn’t fit in the image constructed, and therefore, never existed. I don’t know if that’s the case, but the perception was that he was an adored only child who was driven to do one thing well, play golf.

I think family members are to be valued above all others. In my line of work, I see kids who have been left behind while their parents hook up with new honeys. The damage done is devastating and permanent. I’m not accusing his father of doing this, but I have to wonder what was modeled for Tiger in this regard — ditch your existing family for the next best thing? Who knows? Neither of us do.

As were Judas Iscariot, Aaron Burr, Benedict Arnold........

Do you really wish to drag Tiger Wood's parents into this as the original posters have attempted to do?

“Those of us who can’t afford it,
Now stand on the green green grass.
And our golfing hero, Tiger
Provides our “1st Tee” lifetime pass.

He smiles with his toothy grin,
His arms around the well-built gal
Oh Tiger! Is that your lovely wife?
Did obammer approve your sexy pal??
Ummmmm, Ummmmmm, Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!”

I’ll ask the question again:

So, are you saying that he cheated to win almost 70 PGA events, including what is it, 13 majors now?

How? By saying his dad had been married before and had 4 children that no one really heard about? I just find it unusual that it seemed to be kept so quiet. I was just repeating what wikipedia had written. Maybe you should accuse wikipedia of maligning, since you find this so heinous an accusation. I didn’t say he has a bad man...you construed that.

I really don’t think I’ve said anything other than I think the wife/kids are victims and that Mr. Woods (Tiger) has issues that need attention. Do you disagree with that?

You may excuse his behavior — but his behavior will only hurt him the most in the long run. How many do you know on their deathbeds who say....”if I’d only had wild mindless sex with more random women.”

In the end, it’s the love we know and people we bond with. I hope there is healing and help for all here. Life’s too short to go through it without any real meaning.

And no, I will not let this go. I feel as though I have been accused unfairly and I will stand up for myself.

Yup,, do what he has to do. His family comes first.

He apparently never used "protection". There may be some complicated "logisitics" in play there...

“I’ve yet to walk in another man’s shoes. Hard to say how any of us would have handled that much fame and fortune.”

Maybe, he should have attended night school and got an education. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Sexually transmitted diseases, drugs and booze make for a real disaster. Money doesn’t make you smart or responsible. That requires intelligence and morals. It is too bad all that money, he squandered on whores, wasn’t used for the betterment of humanity.

It will all come out in the end. Meanwhile, people will be looking for their next Obama and Woods. Both losers...

I am glad for you, I admire your perseverence. That should help you sleep well tonight...........

When you have time, maybe you can dig up some info on the grandparents too and equate Tiger's father and mother's behavior to their own upbringing.......What the hell, might as well trash the whole family, right?
