Seemingly unaware of the beast towering over it, the tiny rodent grabbed at scraps of meat thrown into the African Leopard's enclosure. But instead of pouncing on the tiny intruder, the 12-year-old leopard Sheena kept her distance. After a few minutes she tried to nudge the mouse away with her nose, but the determined little guy kept chewing away until he was full.

Mighty Mouse!
You can almost hear the slurp...and picture the next frame.
Looks like the leopard is providing shade for the mouse while he eats.
..according to the article she never bothered it...(other clear pics in article)
musta been one hungry mouse
Another Tiger thread? Oh, no!
The leopard obviously thought the mouse was suffering from some form of dementia and was afraid it was communicable.
Saw the headline and thought of this old joke:
The monkey, the wild dog, and the leopard
A wild dog is running through the jungle. While wandering about he notices a leopard heading in his direction with the intention of having lunch. The dog thinks, “Boy, I’m in deep trouble now.”
Then he sees some bones on the ground close by, and immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat.
Just as the leopard is about to leap, the dog exclaims loudly, “Man, that was one delicious leopard. I wonder if there are any more around here?”
Hearing this the leopard halts his attack in mid stride, and he slinks away into the trees. “Whew”, says the leopard. “That was close. That dog nearly had me.”
Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard. So, he goes chasing after the leopard.
But the dog saw him heading after the leopard with great speed, and figured that something must be up.
The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard.
The cat is furious at being made a fool of and says, “Here monkey, hop on my back and see what’s going to happen to that conniving canine.”
Now the dog sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his back, and thinks,” What am I going to do now?”
But instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers pretending he hasn’t seen them yet.
And just when they get close enough to hear, the dog says, “Where’s that monkey. I just can never trust him. I sent him off half an hour ago to bring me another leopard, and he’s still not back!”

The caged cat doesn’t recognize the furry critter as food. It thinks food is red and cubed prepared meat.
*LOL*
Apparently cats have to be taught to kill by their mother. Maybe this leopard was bred and reared in a zoo and never learned to hunt and kill prey.

Reminds me of some stock trades I have tried.
IIRC, this was posted. However it’s a good one.
Sweet.
That’s my guess.
I once watched a farm cat teach her 2 or 3 month old kittens to kill mice. She caught a live mouse, and gently held it in her mouth, then dropped it in the middle of a 1 acre mown lawn for the kittens to “play” with. When they were distracted adn the terrified mouse would sprint for the bushes 100’ away, she’d bring it back and start again. Finally the mother cat carefully gnawed off one rear leg of the mouse to slow it down. After a while the kittens began to get the idea, and started chasing and pouncing on the doomed mouse, which was a living teaching aide.
The Leopard and the mouse. Neat picture.
