President Obama and the First Family were planning a non-religious Christmas, Well, his people ARE still out there searching for the right church for the first family.

"The President spoke movingly about the scene the crèche depicts in his remarks at the lighting of the National Christmas Tree last week: Tonight, we celebrate a story that is as beautiful as it is simple. The story of a child born far from home to parents guided only by faith, but who would ultimately spread a message that has endured for more than 2,000 years that no matter who we are or where we are from, we are each called to love one another as brother and sister. who eventually grew up to be the 44th president of the United States.

Goodness, there are so many glaring issues in this article I hardly knew where to begin. Sigh.

When Obama made a point to recognize Eid-Al-Fitr, I do not recall him trying to make it “non-religious” or more inclusive.

The opponents of Christmas seek to be inclusive by excluding the 90+% of the student body who come from Christian backgrounds.

Christmas definition: an annual festival celebrated by Christians commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Well that tells us what they think about Jesus when they try to make Christmas a non-religious holiday. I think we all kinda knew that anyway.

However, the Supreme Court ruled a Christmas tree is not a religious symbol. That didnt matter to Ms Zundel. If you are entering a public school and your family does not celebrate Christmas, then it feels like a religious symbol. hmmmm does this mean that 'perceptions' can now be banned? Turbans, burkas ...

And it represents a tradition that we celebrate as a country a tradition that has come to represent more than any one holiday or religion, but a season of brotherhood and generosity to our fellow citizens. I was surprised that he used the 'c' word. Citizens. I'm surprised he didn't say residents.

Next point to Mr. Erik Brown. I hate winter. No one had better be wishing me a happy winter. Further, “Happy Winter” is not inclusive of Spring, Summer and Fall. It may even be discriminatory to the vernal and autumnal equinoxes.
To: patriot08
Well, “he” can take a holiday in some Arab country...leave the rest of us to enjoy our traditions.....

And this is surprising how? Communist’s don’t believe in God. The people are to worship the state.
I have always said the left does not have a problem with Christianity. It’s religion itself that they object too and Christianity just happens to be the dominant religion in the US. Religion undermines the authority of the state and thus can’t be tolerated.
The left has a fixation on legalized abortion also. Why? Because they ultimately want the power over life and death. Abortion for the begining of life and state run health care for the end.

I have to do things that include every child. So what we do is celebrate winter.
Certainly, with the "evidence" of climate change, there's no way for us to be sure that "winter" isn't just a false construct we create in the vain hope that some mythical and uncertain next season (some hopeful, deluded people call "spring") will occur in it's place. How do we know that this "winter" really isn't all there is? Why celebrate what is likely the norm?
Personally I reject the concept of winter.
I assume that my beliefs are enough to cancel the winter celebration at this school in another state even though I have no children. After all, one can't be too careful about covering every possibility of offending anyone, regardless of how remote that possibility may be and I'm offended by this misguided faith in any season that differs from the one we have now.
I'll have to get my lawyer to send a case and desist letter to this "Winterist" in CT. Maybe I should get the ACLU involved...
(Do I have to say the above is sarcasm?)
