Exerpt:

But Washington is a city that likes its traditions, and Ms. Rogers has raised a few eyebrows by trying to bend them. When former social secretaries gave a luncheon to welcome Ms. Rogers earlier this year, one participant said, she surprised them by suggesting the Obamas were planning a “non-religious Christmas” — hardly a surprising idea for an administration making a special effort to reach out to other faiths.

The lunch conversation inevitably turned to whether the White House would display its crèche, customarily placed in a prominent spot in the East Room. Ms. Rogers, this participant said, replied that the Obamas did not intend to put the manger scene on display — a remark that drew an audible gasp from the tight-knit social secretary sisterhood. (A White House official confirmed that there had been internal discussions about making Christmas more inclusive and whether to display the crèche.)

Yet in the end, tradition won out; the executive mansion is now decorated for the Christmas holiday, and the crèche is in its usual East Room spot.

If there is no religion in Christmas, then there is no celebration. The point of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Christ. If the day becomes secular, then it is just business as usual. Therefore, Sasha and Maleah’s gifts must be returned. Or better yet, they can be redistributed to my son. Yes, I know I probably misspelled their names and I don’t care.

“The President spoke movingly about the scene the crèche depicts in his remarks at the lighting of the National Christmas Tree last week: Tonight, we celebrate a story that is as beautiful as it is simple. The story of a child born far from home to parents guided only by faith, but who would ultimately spread a message that has endured for more than 2,000 years – that no matter who we are or where we are from, we are each called to love one another as brother and sister. While this story may be a Christian one, its lesson is universal. It speaks to the hope we share as a people. And it represents a tradition that we celebrate as a country – a tradition that has come to represent more than any one holiday or religion, but a season of brotherhood and generosity to our fellow citizens.”

Nice. But it's more than that. It's the birth of God as man ... Emmanuel (God with us). There more to Christmas than a message to love one another (although that is the commandment the Jesus gives us), hope, tradition and brotherhood. Yes, all those are part of it ... but telling only part of the story is not enough.

You can’t make “The Christ Mass” more inclusive. It is an exclusively Christian tradition and holy day. If you’re not celebrating the birth of Christ, then stop calling it “Christmas”. Call it some other pagan celebration.

“He told the Republican-American newspaper that he’s just following state law.”

Irony...

Without religion without God the power of the state is supreme therefore the state can dictate whether you live or die. Who you marry how many children you have. This has already fail and it looks like we are about to repeat it

20 years at Trinity United Church of Christ and Michelle and Barry didn't want to celebrate Christmas in the White House.

The thing is, somebody had to explain to them that they had better or else!

"OBAMA WANTED 'NON-RELIGIOUS' CHRISTMAS"

And in other news, the vast majority of Americans wanted a "non-communist" White House.

The Obama presidency marks a completely new era in American presidencies. And I am not talking about his swarthy skin. This is the first presidency that has utterly and completely rejected traditional American values in every which way imaginable.

"So what we do is celebrate winter."

I'm offended. That sounds like a druid religious ceremony to me, and I am not a druid.

The President spoke movingly about the birth of Christ because he was thinking of himself when he said...

“Tonight, we celebrate a story that is as beautiful as it is simple. The story of a child (Barack Hussein Obama) born far from home(Kenya)to parents (Stanley and Barack)guided only by faith (Marxism) but who would ultimately spread a message....(Obamaism)”

Well, such a shocker. How nice of Mussie Michelle to display a holiday decoration (nativity scene) because of it's heritage.

Muslims in the White House. Mmmmm, Mmmmm, Mmmmmm.

Why not turn it into a f*cking mosque!!!

This country is going to hell. Time to lock and load.

On February 27th, speaking to Kristof of The New York Times, Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset."

In an interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, Mr. Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent." The opening lines of the Adhan (Azaan) is the Shahada:

"Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet?"

According to Islamic scholars, reciting the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith, makes one a Muslim. This simple yet profound statement expresses a Muslim's complete acceptance of, and total commitment to, the message of Islam. Obama chanted it with pride and finesse.
