I thought it was Tevye’s hat from Fiddler on the Roof.

She could wear a lampshade on her head, and she’d still be gorgeous.

That hat from QVC is ALMOST the right one, but not quite...

Here are a few MORE links to "almost" the right hat, from www.twirlit.com -- for OTHER possible hat sources:

Sarah Palin’s Hot Hat

By Amanda Pendolino on December 7th, 2009

sarah-palin-hat-1

As much as I’m not a fan of Sarah Palin, I have to admit that she can rock a hat.

The former Vice Presidential candidate appeared in Iowa yesterday to promote her new book Going Rogue, and according to the UK’s Times Online, she chose to shield her brown curls from the snow with a green topper that was a little bit army, a little bit newsboy.

There’s no word on who designed the Palinator’s headwear, so definitely comment if you recognize it. Although most stores have now  focused their hat collections on warm winter knits, Express has a glammed-up version in black and gray that’s on sale for $22.

Anthropologie also offers a few versions of the style, including a cozy plaid one for $38, a rounded woolen newsboy in black and purple for $28, a chunky light gray cap for $32 and a button-embellished hat for $34.

UK fave Ted Baker has a sleek, round version of the newsboy hat with a bow detail in gray and red for £45. For a more expensive designer version, try Heather Huey’s black cap with felt hooks for $133 at Bluefly.com.

Classic Burberry plaid goes for $100 on Overstock.com - and Overstock also has some of the only army green ones I could find, including these star-embellished Hailey Hats for $17.

Your cheapest option is probably Forever 21’s black wool cadet hat for $6.80.

Palin told the Gridiron crowd that she thought the passenger was asking a question.

That’s too funny. She’s great. You gotta love her.

Hmmm.....let’s see...climategate,public option, unemployment at double digits, Afghanistan, Net Neutrality, Cap and Tax, trillion dollar deficits and you’re commenting about a stupid hat? Something definitely smells awful around here.

And, here is a nice SIDE view of Governor Palin's hat, from standingwithsarah.com:

Thin skin is easily bruised over Gov. Palin.

Nice cartoon. No doubt I will steal it.

Oh yeah. The fear of her is something to behold.

The worst is of course the Romneybots. No surprise there after their attacks on Thompson.

Are *you* the only person I was addressing when I said “people”?

Don’t take comments so personally. Your day will be much brighter. :-)

Your post was addressed to me, not to anyone else, so i replied.

That is not illogical as far as i can tell.

Hey, the reason THIS post is being posted to you is...it is a reply to a post you made to me! Wow, wonder of wonders!

My impression is that the Romneybots get zotted quite qickly here.

...and that’s a good thing.
