And probably had to practice the piano when everyone else was playing baseball.

That is just pure conjecture on your part.

His parents didn't divorce until 1960. He had a Julliard instructor for a piano teacher. He has lived a privileged life. His music is schmaltzy junk and he was pushed ahead of many more talented musicians by the record company. He ended up marrying a supermodel.

Boo-hoo. I'm depressed. Poor baby!

It was indeed. The term “broken home” was whispered with a wince about such children. Now, there are so many children subjected to divorce and its unpleasant aftermath. So sad.
