Nobody remembers Shaloub as Antonio from “Wings”? One of the best characters in the history of TV sitcoms.

He also played the pawnshop-owning alien in “Men in Black” I and II.

I haven’t followed Monk much for a few years but will try to remember tonight as I would like to see how it wraps. I love the theme. I have the first season or two on DVD. One of my favorite episodes was the one with Fraidy Cop.

I always thought that those were bit parts for him. He did them well, but he did much better on the small screen.

He was hilarious in that role. He played a great sad-sack.

I remember Shaloub as Antonion in Wings. In vact, it still runs 2-3 days a week at 5:30 AM Central. It’s the only time I switch away from Fox & Friends — just to catch Wings.

He was the best character on the show. There was one other who had a short lived character; Valerie Mahaffey who played Sandy Cooper. She wanted to marry the Tim Daley character. She was hilarious.

sad that the show is ending... love the cast, love that Sharona and Randy “hooked up,” and i love the theme song, “It’s a Jungle Out There,” by Randy Newman... “i could be wrong now—but i don’t think so... cause there’s a jungle out there...”

My favorite movie role for him was in Galaxy Quest with Tim Allen. Tony was great in that one.

I think I remember that. She then played a recurring character on Northern Exposure, the wacky wife of the wacky spy played by Adam Arkin.

The guy who played Stottlemeyer also played a cartoonish bad guy on Crime Story. He was very funny.
Was he also on one of the later Sellers Pink Panther movies? I saw someone recently in an old film that looked like him. Not only that, he had that same sort of upward looking to the side sigh.

Captain !!!!!

Ted Levine's more enigmatic wannabe transsexual, longing for a transgressive suit of female flesh. Similarly transgressive is director Jonathan Demme's complicated gaze, asking us - particularly in an incredible sequence scored to Q Lazzarus' "Goodbye Horses" - to see the beauty of this particular beast.
