Happy Monday, Seadog.

Spring hasn't arrived in the Central Valley. :)
How 'bout there?

We are getting some rain today.
Our trees should be bare by the weekend.
One Liquid Amber still has green and yellow leaves.

By the middle of January, I will be more than ready for spring!

Enjoy this wet, windy Monday.

Thank you, Kitty. My “little” girl is growing up. Where has the time gone?

Just Beautiful..Wonderful colors and song.

Thanks, Meg. I had told Amy that Susan's rendition of Daydream Believer was so pretty and had uploaded it for future use. She immediately sent several 'daydreaming' graphics to me (coincidentally the older woman used for the opening today was among them), but those deep colors of greens and golds were so pretty - not to mention the girl was, too - that it seemed the best one for the song. :)

I’m going to quit complaining about our cold!! Your weather sounds absolutley miserable. We have 37 degrees with no wind; just wet fog. You and the pups try to stay warm.

But *wet* 37 degrees is still COLD! It's just a chore to bundle all of us up to go out, but with coats on the dogs can stand it much longer than I can! Yesterday afternoon it was pretty nice though! Was gone most of the day so it felt pretty good with just a sweater over a sweater instead of a big coat. LOL

Oh, yorkie, I am in love with that puppy. The animation is pure perfection, because those sweet eyes look so real it’s unbelievable. Love the red rose in its mouth. :)

Thank you, Starfire!
That poem to remember your Dad is both beautiful and so sad.

As our older relatives die, we realize how many stories and
talents are lost with them.

Thank you for sharing your poems with us.

Have a wonderful Monday.

Thanks, Meg, and I love how you always ‘just happen’ to mirror the same feel of the openings, either with your color choices or the subject or both. Such a pretty red snow-covered geranium! I also had snow on my geraniums this weekend - they had been blooming like crazy even through freezing temperatures until the snow covered them, and now of course they’re gone! I really don’t remember them continuing to bloom so late in the year before.

Good afternoon, GeeBee. LOL
Happy Monday .... I'm going to try to NOT drop this year.
I plan to do most of my shopping online.
I hate the Christmas crowds.
I plan to do some shopping in a mall in one of the smaller cities.
I hate going to Fresno this time of the year.

When I worked, a friend and I would shop between 5:30 and 6:30.
Seemed that the shoppers were home for the dinner hour.

Wishing you a BooBoo and wonderful week.

35 some years ago, my husband and three of his buddies loved to hunt antelope, elk and deer. Early one morning, they left before sunrise, to a place that deer had been seen the day before.

Two of the guys went around to one side of a hill - and my husband and another buddy took the opposite side.

On their trek, husband and friend came accross a barbed wire fence. They looked up and down the fence, for an opening, and came accross a young female deer, tangled in the wire. It appeared she had been there for at least 24 hours, and was frightened and bleeding.

With a little work, they freed the doe, and stood there, petting her, until she calmed down somewhat, and her breathing became more regular. Eye contact between a wild creature and man was heart tugging.

Then, they patted her back side lightly, and she ran off to freedom. That is until she went over the hill - and BLAM!!! BLAMMM!!!

The buddies........

My husband never hunted again.

WOOHOO! Beautiful lady in Red! I love black and white pics with a touch of red like that!

Thanks, sweet lady! I also tend to gravitate towards black and white with a touch of red a lot, too. :)

YIKES! One picture looks incredibly cold and dreary, and the other just looks incredibly foggy and dreary - and dangerous to drive in!

Thank you for today's Awesome Opening Graphics.
You probably wonder how I ever made a decision as to what to use today. :)
I didn't decide until this morning. LOL
I decided to use this one because my little girl is a dreamer;
and I know she will enjoy seeing and listening to this after school.

Thank you for the beautiful graphics and music that you bring to Amy's Place.

Hi Amy!
No, no 'Spring' in sight here either  :)

We had rain last night, no snow, but it's just a little chilly today with some sunshine off and on mixed with big clouds going by.
