Thank you, JC! When I showed the graphic to my best friend, and then read her the poem - we both went for the kleenex; and she thanked me for being her friend, too.
Amy, I don’t know where you ever find such adorable graphics - (from “Mr. G”?)
Thank you SO much - I love the frame, too! Goes perfectly with the picture!
Carrot Cake with a creme cheese frosting!!!!!!!!!!
Oh Yeah, that will do JUST FINE!
I have several new Maxines .... you will see them in the future.
You have mail! LOL
Her album is a big success. Such an inspiring story.
Her + Susan Boyle
funny, but painfully true
A Harley biker is riding by the zoo in Washington , DC, when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion’s cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.
The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.
Whimpering from the pain, the lion jumps back, letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.
A reporter has watched the whole event.
The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, ‘Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I’ve seen a man do in my whole life.’
The Harley rider replies, ‘Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.’
The reporter says, ‘Well, I’ll make sure this won’t go unnoticed. I’m a journalist, you know, and tomorrow’s paper will have this story on the front page. So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?’
The biker replies, ‘I’m a U.S. Marine and a Republican.’
The journalist leaves.
The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:
U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS
AFRICAN IMMIGRANT
AND STEALS HIS LUNCH
That pretty much sums up the media’s approach to the news these days.

Susan Boyle has a beautiful voice. I’m so happy that her album is doing so well.
We’re hoping to feature another of her songs later this week.
LOL
Sad but true, Dubya. Thanks.

Good Morning Meg! 3 inches of rain? WOW!
Los Angeles is cool, but no rain, sadly. I sure hope this isn’t going to be another drought year for us.
Christmas Tree went up yesterday... horray!
Now to work on those cards, and the season will be well on it’s way.
Today I stop and celebrate beloved hubby’s 71st BD!
Happy Birthday dear sweet Mel!
Happy Belated Birthday Johnn!!! Hope your day was filled with much joy and someone else cooked for you !! LOL
Yorkie! You are so awesome! LOL
I misssed the past several days of posts, and just taking a few minutes in the quiet of this morning to catch up! You sure did Johnn’s Birthday up well and oh that is scrumptious looking... Hope there is enough leftover for me to have a slice! LOL
Polly
That is such a precious poem and photo.....
Thank you, jaycee..It’s the typing that is hardest to do.
I have been sick and also pulled muscles in my back trying to get Smokie out from under my king sized bed so we could travel to my daughter’s home.. I have the wounds to show it..LOL
My tremor gets wild when I am hurting..I feel better today.
We are washing china to pack, etc.
Darling graphic, Meg! Lots of rain for sure! It rained here all day Monday, sunshine Tuesday, and rain again today! I will try not to complain. Hope things are going well with the packing!! ;o)
Thank you Amy and Kitty..I am better. I still may get behind...but at least I can post.
Smokie knew something was going on out of the ordinary. Did you get scratched? LOL! They can do that for sure.
Washing China to pack sounds like a job I wouldn’t like to do right now (or anytime)!! I don’t understand how you are able to do all that....may the Lord be with you!
I thought maybe your main job would be kitty-sitting! I used to display all my china and silver tea set and other silver small things in an open buffet. After years of cleaning silver and washing the dishes, I tired of all the cleaning, etc, especially the silver and I packed it all away.
Take it easy if you can....(((Hugs)))
