Former Gov. Mike Huckabee is facing real problems if he should seek the GOP Nomination for President in 2012 after word is out tonight that a man he granted clemency in Arkansas in 2000 is now being sought in the shooting deaths of four police officers near Tacoma, Washington today. . . . This is not the first time Huckabee's seeming bent toward leniency on convicted criminals has resulted in tragedy. Another man granted clemency by Huckabee went on to rape and murder a young woman in Missouri. That man's name was Wayne Dumond. Listen to the ad below which ran against Huckabee during the 2008 Campaign. It features the mother of Carol Sue Shields - the young woman murdered by Dumond . . . (VIDEO)

RE :”Why won’t anyone have the guts to say no amnesty? I’m so sick of all these gutless wonder politicians pandering for votes!...I hate to say this, but Palin said she supported a “path to citizenship” for illegals in 2008.

Was terrified of offending the Latino vote on a hispanic channel. You remember fall 2006 the republican house passed a immigration reform bill with a provision that made being illegally here a felony? They scrambled to remove it when it got out on the news but democrats voted against removing it, then voted against the bill calling republicans racists. No bill got passed because the republican Senate passed an amnesty bill. (Then republicans got killed in 2006 election)

This is a tough issue politically. It's the high unemployment now that makes amnesty the kiss of death politically.

Retaining Hispanic votes a challenge for Obama (Unemployment checks hope and change?)

I think now is the time for the politicians to grow a pair and get all over this. We can’t afford “health care” for these illegals, our country is broke. As far as them doing the “jobs others won’t do,” unemployment benefits can’t last forever, sooner or later the seemingly endless extensions on benefits will run out. Do we really need illegals here competing for these low wage jobs? We get it, why do these idiots in DC not get it?

That is the lamest thing I ever read from a politician.

If I were any kind of POTUS candidate, I would explain what I was thinking when I said “path to citizenship,” but AFAIK Palin has not done so.

The four officers would be spending Christmas with their families if it wasn’t for the liberalism of Mike Huckabee.

We don’t need any more RINO garbage like this claiming to be conservative. Huckabee has blood on his hands.

“I hate to say this, but Palin said she supported a “path to citizenship” for illegals in 2008. Maybe she thought she had to say that for McCain’s sake. I’m just saying, let’s go forward with our eyes open. “

Eyes wide open? Wouldn’t that be a nice change. Those who defend the R’s indefensible agendas are no different than the D’s.

Huckabee will probaby go on Christian television to talk how the “attacks” on him are attacks on Jesus, and how Christians need to stick togther. I don’t see the clemencies hurting Huckabee with his core base, elderly church goers. This is the same group that donates money to tv evangelists with questionable ethics (i.e, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Jimmy Swaggart, etc.)
