No he don’t, he doesn’t even need to talk to the cops about it.

I just keep wondering - why does he need to do anything about a relatively minor fender bender? It isn’t like he was caught with an underage girl, drugs or breaking into someone’s house. They’ve even said alcohol wasn’t a factor. As far as I know, we can all leave our homes in our vehicles, at whatever time we wish, for whatever reason. If it was an argument between husband and wife, whatever. I don’t care.

And if there is an affair, it’s still their business. Sad, but private. Tiger Woods owes me no explanation about what is going on in his marriage.

As a fledgling journalist at Golf World magazine in the early 2000s, I can attest to similar stories of the youngest golfer to achieve a career grand slam behaving in a way that might have looked bad on paper. But these stories never really materialized.

"But now that Tiger has had his first really-big tabloid blowup, I'm willing to pile on along with everybody else."

I don’t blame him for not talking to the cops.
Nothing he says will help him, and anything he says can hurt him.

So writes Courtney Hazlett

As a retired writer/columnist/editor, this trite little "Look at me, I know Tiger!" gal trying to capitalize on someone else's bad times, would have the editor's red pen all over her bitc*y face.

She should apply for a spot on The View.

" must speak publicly about car crash — and rumors of Uchitel affair ..." so says Courtney.

To which I say: "Why?"

Whose business is HIS private business?

OMG!. He once swore! He's thrown his golf clubs down before! Well that does it. I thought because he's such a flawless golfer, he's also a flawless person. s/

Tiger is a golfer. The only thing that is any of our concern is how he plays his game. He owes us nothing as far as his personal life is concerned.

So "he must speak publicly", eh Courtney? Maybe you should do the opposite, before people think of you as an

Must be nice to be able to hit a fire Hydrant and a tree at 3am and not even have to talk to the Cops.

Some are more equal than others.

For some reason I just keep asking myself; who gives a crap about tiger woods marital problems.

The only people who should be at all interested are those at his auto insurance carrier.

Call me when his wife is running around the yard naked... swinging a golf club.

argh

He was drifting in and out consciousness after driving under the influence of pain medication during a domestic altercation. He should be charged with a DUI like everyone else would. Imagine if this was Rush Limbaugh.

He should also lose endorsements for it, just like anyone else would.

He had a head-on collision with another object: the invisible bowels of the bad-publicity machine, which in more than 13 years of professional golf, he’d been able to avoid.

The unasked question here is about why he didn't get any bad publicity before.

I would contend it's an offshoot of the "magic Negro effect."

Don't say anything bad about a black person, especially one doing otherwise admirable things, as they have enough negatives in their life to deal with anyway.

I don't hold this effect against Tiger, who has admirably refused to play any race cards. It's a media and liberal thing. But I repeat myself.

This refusal to hold black people to the same standard as others has had horrible effects in the black community. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and ACORN have gotten away for decades with behavior that would have destroyed a non-black person's career, if not put them in jail.

The effect has been slowly disippating for some years. The interesting thing is that since the election of Obama it seems to be disappearing much faster. Hard to hold onto the notion that a black man can't get ahead when he's president. For instance, the whole Professor Gates thing is the first example I can think of where the race card was played and it bounced like a bad check.

It’s a well documented fact that when it comes to women, it’s a hell of a lot easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission.

He doesn’t have to talk but I would like to see that he is all right.

I mean she apparently went ballistic on him with a golf club and after leaving the hospital, he apparently went home and she is the only one who has been seen since.

If anyone knows that he has been seen elsewhere in the last 24 hours or so, please post.
