Why is every single thread that I log onto this day after Thanksgiving, have a picture of Mitt Romney, that then trashes him??
Does JimRob and this website condone the Palin trashers, and try to create a Mitt backlash, to trash him?
Does this website wish to promote a Republican/Conservative candidate who has no real business experience, like our current loser-in-chief, Zer0?
Mitt has problems, as do each and every Pubbie, Conservative, or RAT potential to lead this once great US!
Back off on the hits to Romney, (or maybe do you see him as a threat, much like the RATs see Palin as a threat??)
I dislike much of what Romney has done (I'm from Massachusetts). I also like a lot of what he has done. In his career he has lived many of the standards and philosophies we want politicians to live by, including capitalism. I am made uncomfortable by his, uh, "evolving" position on abortion, for one thing.
But I don't get the incessant slamming. If circumstances were different, we'd be ignoring many of the things that bother us so right now. It's that way with all of the politicians folks like or dislike--if we like you, we ignore things you've done that we otherwise would trash you for; if we don't like you, nothing you do is right.
I've often had arguments here about whether this is a place to exchange ideas or if it's just a cheerleading group, where everyone says the same thing or else is a RINO. (A misnomer; I think most RINOs are true Republicans, but of the Rockefeller country club variety...but whatever.) And that's the same thing as the above--if we like you, you "speak your mind" and "don't walk in lockstep with the crowd" and if not, you're a lib, a DUmmie or RINO.
Intellectual honesty is the ultimate defense. If Romney's or McCain's or anyone else's positions are good, they should be praised, and if not, challenged. But the tarring and feathering of those who appear to be obstacles to our favorite candidates smacks of, dare I say it, liberal tactics. We don't need that anymore than we need RINOs.
I considered the possibility that he/she is a pre-election zot.
Like minds .... and all that stuff! ;^)

Governor Mitt Romney has signed into law a permanent assault weapons ban that he says will make it harder for criminals to get their hands on these guns.
Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts, Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony on July 1... These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.
Like the federal assault weapons ban, the state ban, put in place in 1998, was scheduled to expire in September. The new law ensures these deadly weapons, including AK-47s, UZIs and Mac-10 rifles, are permanently prohibited in Massachusetts no matter what happens on the federal level.
Hey - who did you support in 2000? 2004? 2008? What is your old screen name?
You obviously didn’t watch that video did you? Questioning Palin’s experience is ok but suggesting Mitt is conservative, over the top.
You say,
“..Mitt has problems, as do each and every..”
Video title “..Mitt Romney arguing FOR abortion, even for underage girls without parental permission..”
And you ask,
“..or maybe do you see him as a threat..”
Yes we do and I also want to know, Newt is that you?
“And whats his threat?”
That he’ll run as a conservative republican, convince lots of people of that, win, and then govern as a progressive.
Most of us learned a lot from W’s terms and don’t want a repeat. Mitt is way left of W.
Plus, he lies to attempt to convince conservatives he’s one of them.
Somebody’s losing it. And, if this attitude is widespread, we may lose the chance to take back the country. How many people can be persuaded to join this “small tent” group of angry people? Not a majority.
He makes cow dung look bad!!!
Instead we ought to grab the boat anchor called RINO-LAND? Sorry lady, no sale.
Sarah Palin is that candidate Noob. She will win, she is conservative. Tell me what difference does it make if we stick another frickin’ RINO in office if he/she is going to do the same things Bozo is doing to us? Romney is just bad, if not worse, than the liberals we have in office now, he is a liberal in Republican clothing. You want RINOs? Please go to some other site, the majority of us here don’t want them.
Go to hell lib RINO!
He alleges that he joined long ago. Just can’t remember his/her password.
If we are to take him/her seriously, he/she needs to tell us what his previous screen name was.
Otherwise, he is likely to be just another lying troll............
aShepard! since 1999
Right now IMO Romney should be the front runner. Do we really want another 4 years of Obama?
Seems like far too many people are dwelling on the negative (kind of like giving directions from NYC to LA by telling what routes NOT to take) and expending far too much effort on things that are of no immediate consequence (if a much stronger candidate emerges Romni will not be of any consequence, if not it doesn’t matter if he is the candidate).
Right now I am much more concerned about 2010 than 2012.
That is why all this is so perplexing, if not downright exasperating. Just that alone should utterly disqualify MR from any consideration as a conservative candidate for any office.
thx...I stold it.;o)
