Tiger Woods’ wife rescued him from the wreckage of a late night car crash by smashing a golf club through the window, police said.
Mrs Nordegren told police she was inside the couple’s house in a gated community in Orlando, Florida when she heard the accident and ran outside.
She grabbed a golf club and smashed the rear window of the black Cadillac Escalade to get to her husband.
Woods was on his own in the car and no other vehicles were involved. It was unclear where he had been intending to go at that early hour.
The accident happened on a day when unsubstantiated rumours about the golfer’s private life were circulating on the internet.

That’s what I think too. Makes the most sense. Otherwise, she would have only needed to break the window if he was unconscious from the impact, which I doubt.
Probably had a fight with his wife.
I guess she could run a little faster than Tiger could drive.
The door was probably to heavy to lift and throw through the window. The golf club was easier to swing. :)
He may have just been running out for some common item and swerved to avoid hitting an animal, maybe their family part.

How does one damage an Escalade so severely while backing out that someone needs to smash a window to rescue you?
Remind me not to buy one of those flimsy Escalades...if I ever have the money.

What, he's gonna drive there in the Escalade and straighten things out? Don't think so. I'm going with the "fighting over rumors" theory.
He was just working off the big Thanksgiving meal he had.
Early morning workout? Sunrise this morning in Orlando was 6:57am. Unless Tiger’s balls glow, he isn’t going to be out on the course at 2:30am.
