I love defenseless little animals, especially in a good gravy!

Man I could go for some fried chicken, potatoes with bacon gravy and couple of Rocky Mountain Oysters!

From this long rambling review I take it we aren’t eating enough dogs and cats and aquarium fish. They are apparently delicious and we should be more open minded to the culinary possibilities.

I don’t eat flesh of my flesh. I would never eat my children. Not even if I were starving.

How is it that Americans, so solicitous of the animals they keep as pets, are so indifferent toward the ones they cook for dinner? The answer cannot lie in the beasts themselves. Pigs, after all, are quite companionable, and dogs are said to be delicious.

Never tried dog. But I'd give it a try.

Collectively, these creatures cost Americans some forty billion dollars annually.

So it would take Americans approximately 100 years to spend as much on their pets as they do on the Federal Government?

Dinner for a nice gathering at casa de tx_eggman last weekend should tell you where me and mine stand:

To keep the moral universe in balance, we had some veggies as well - potato salad, coleslaw and beans to be precise.

I always feel real good, before, during and after eating meat. Since I feel real good from the experience, meat must be real good for me. Beef is my favorite, but I like almost all of the common meats found in most supermarkets. They all make me feel real good!

Have you ever tried yogurt and jellyfish?

When these idiots concern themselves as much with the pain & suffering of a baby during an abortion, I might think about hearing them blather on about animal rights. On second thought, not even then.

I can’t understand these people.

They are either just plain neurotic -

“What we know about eating animals is that we don’t want to know”

Whose that “we” that is fearful of knowing ?

Or absurdly in pursuit of consistent systems - a bit of Aspergers here ? Human behavior and motivations just are not rationaly consistent, and its silly to try to make up consistent Procrustean systems and hold people to them.

Or similarly absurdly fashion-chasing, in this case of a social-status trump-card;

Or just plain decadent, too twee for their own good due to separation from reality ?
