How is it that Americans, so solicitous of the animals they keep as pets, are so indifferent toward the ones they cook for dinner? The answer cannot lie in the beasts themselves. Pigs, after all, are quite companionable, and dogs are said to be delicious.Never tried dog. But I'd give it a try.

I’ve had dog.
Dog is not bad at all. Its a fairly strong-flavored meat, but not unpleasant. Its quite common as a delicacy across East Asia, used in feast-dishes or appetizers in some places. Not daily fare, its quite expensive, and often illegal.
