(vanity). Purge the Palin haters from our party.

Posted on 11/10/2009 11:39:26 AM PST by se_ohio_young_conservative

I am noticing an increasing number of anti Palin comments among Republicans.

I think this is a good time to filter the trash out of our party. We Republicans tend to tip toe through the tulips. But if we want to get our party back, we need to do it now. As much as I dislike Obama. and many of us mocked his "get in their faces quote". I want to ask you.

How did we dominate the healthcare debate in August ? We stood up and got in their faces. It worked. You can do this without being violent, without using curse words. Just stand up.

Some of you remember the days of Woody Hayes at Ohio State and Bo Schembechler at Michigan.

We can't be afraid to learn and pay attention to how Obama did it. Because Obama was great at getting control of his party and winning. Unfourtunately, he has no idea how to govern. The great thing about Reagan conservatism is, 75% of it is just making the country believe in itself again. We forgot how to govern in the early 2000s. That is how we lost, but we learn from history.

A lot of people said Obama could never be President for various reasons. The same attitude is used against Palin.

Everybody should read Rules For Radicals by Saul Alinsky. We can use their own tactics to destroy them. Right now, I think we need to use these tactics against anti Palin Republicans. Get in their face. Ridicule them. Freeze them. Personalize them. Polarize them. We need to play it like they are so far out of the mainstream. Perception is reality. Our reality is that they are so luke warm and we are spitting them out. Their reality needs to be cold and isolated.

It is not just about Palin. She is one person. But she is a good lithmis test to see who is really a conservative and who is not.

A lot of Palin hating Republicans don't want a woman to be President. Is that reality ? I don't know. But lets make it reality. Lets live it, breath it, accept it as fact. And then it becomes reality in it's self. They are frozen out of the party and isolated.

Lets do it.

I thought that speech she gave in Minneapolis was one of the greatest speeches I ever saw. and I am not high on anything. Bill O’Reilly said the same thing.

Sure he did. Last year I said lots of things praising Palin while she was the nominee too. Just as all you McCain haters suddenly found reasons to say nice things about J-Mac until after the election results came in. It's called campaign spin.

Now everyone is free to say what they really think and no longer forced to pull their nose and support candidates they don't really like. The McCain haters have no problem telling me how much they hate Juan McCain so I'm sorry if you're shocked and saddened to know that not everyone in the GOP worships Palin. Life sucks. You'll learn to deal with it.

It is fortunate that the radicalism that the left displays, does not play well in the heartland.

True and it really bugs me that the nominee is more often than not chosen by the BLUE states.

The primary elections need to be rescheduled. I live in a red state and McCain had been picked---by liberals in the NE states of Snowe and What's her name--- before Texas even voted. Does that make sense?

What makes sense is a Primary Day. Where all the states vote their candidate together.

The primary process distorts support and when that amount of money is involved, corruption follows. Put a limit on corporate dollars and let the private citizen donate more. Provide a limit in funds and let the chips fall where they may.

This would mean every candidate would have to campaign in EVERY state, not just the ones to get the numbers.

By the time all is said and done then nobody will be left.

And your point is?

As conservatives, that *should* be our goal. Nobody [on the] left.

Cheers!

Big deal what you think! Youre also calling to exile everyone who disagrees with you.

Your intentions may be noble but at the same time they are also based on emotion and not conservative principles. JMO

The good news is you have a good heart!

does Palin define what is a conservative Republican these days?

Yes, if one believes others who are or were exemplars of a 'conservative' to be Thomas Jefferson, Ronald Reagan, and Maggie Thatcher.
Sarah Palin fits in nicely with the aforementioned trio, as she shares many traits with them, more so than any other living person in politics today.

Vying for a leadership post in the concervative brown shirt corps?

Maybe a brown shirt would match the stain that the thought of President Palin put in your pants, Bob.

Cheers!

Your premise is wrong. I know someone who is very conservative who is not a Palin supporter. Are you going to say that person is not a conservative. I won’t because I know better.

If Sarah is the best candidate the GOP can field, we deserve to get our asses handed to us in 2012.

How's the astroturf business,Ikey?

While I think you're being totally irrational, I do like the fact that we have such young conservatives. I hope there are many more like you but with a calmer head.

You'll mature and figure out throwing a temper tantrum will not make it the way you want. Keep your cool and try to improve things methodically.

It is impossible to win without them and Independents!!

Ever hear of "Reagan Democrats"?

He came within, oh, 3,000 MN votes or so of winning EVERY state in the country.

Cheers!

We saw the change in tactic in NY-23 and it wasn't pretty FOR RINOS.

There, all fixed.

Try looking at the polls six weeks before election day; then five weeks; then four; etc.

If the GOP party apparatus had backed Hoffman instead of attacking him, he'd have won.

Recall that the GOP wasted $900,000 on someone who turned around and endorsed the DEMOCRATS. (Talking of sore-loser).

Purge the party of backstabbing RINOS, and you will see conservative GOP victories.

Cheers!

I thought Republicans were smarter than this.

They ARE. That's why the stupid ones are *called* RINOs.

Cheers!

Exactly!! You must depend on votes other than conservative Republicans.

I didn't, and I was on the Palin Bandwagon *before* the convention speech:Cheese, Moose, Palin.

Note the date.

Yes, but we don't need to court RINOs -- we take the independents and convert Democrats.

By *staying* conservative, and not backing down.

Cheers!

What is the difference between a RINO and an independent and a converted Democrat?
