Hello everyone & TGIF..Hope you all have a splendid weekend & are keeping sane preparing for Thanksgiving & what that means for you & yours

a bit under the weather the past few weeks fighting a sinus infection.. It has NOT taken hold but is still poking at me! Zinc, C , echinacea a couple times a day. Still tired, burning chest, hurting head..

The Newspapers World Wide

One of the most interesting sites I have ever seen. Just put your mouse on a city anywhere in the world and the newspaper headlines pop up... Double click and the page gets larger.... I thought you all would like to know about this site, if you don't already. I also found you can read the entire paper on some of the websites if you click on the right place. You can spend forever here. Try it. Read current newspapers every day from around the world.

This practice was prohibited, IIRC, around 1918, though in some areas it lasted longer. There are some elderly women still alive who have bound feet. There was a book that had a good description of the history and practiced but I no longer can remember the title. “Snow flower” deals briefly with it.

Thanks, Amy - and THAT is such a pretty Red Friday graphic, too! I like how you used just one color for the background and frame - really makes the red bird stand out!

Thought I would have some time to hang around here today but we've had unexpected company. Hope everyone has a great weekend - shopping, eating, sleeping, cooking for Thanksgiving coming up, whatever!

Afternoon Amy.

Cloudy skies and rain is lightly falling (and leaves from the trees) at this hour in the northern valley.

A red sweatshirt is the uniform of the day in honor of our troops.

Still awaiting videos from #3 daughter of our Vets Choir Veteran’s Day presentation. DD squeezed into his Dress Blues for Sunday services. #1, I’m damned proud of wearing the uniform in service to our country and #2 I can. I did cast an aroma of cedar chest but well worth the effort. :)

Thank you for such beautiful red flowers, JC, to honor our Military Troops! And, the frame matches perfectly! (I’m ready for spring already!)

Wish I knew how you worked your magic with frames! (Well, I couldn’t do it anyway - and I know you use a program - but, they are all soooooo beautiful! I’m just under a tad jealous!) ;-)

That bird eating the red berries is so beautiful!

Conor, thank you for bringing us graphics that invoke memories of when “class and dignity” occupied our White House!

Thank you yorkie. I haven’t had time to look at the whole thread yet.

The fall colors are truly beautiful but after they fall on the ground, its over. We know winter is coming. I definitely am a spring and summer person, period! Always have been and always will be. I just love flitting in and out the door without sweaters, jackets, and later, those heavy coats.

I’ll try to check out the thread later.
