Cell phones cause brain tumors, according to the newest banner headline on the DrudgeReport. The story it's linked to explains how a new study, soon to be published, will provide the data needed to prove this long-rumored assertion. The comments alrady on the story-link include one from a blogger claiming much more.

With friends like the cell phone companies, I can sleep soundly, assured that they will not harm me.

Cell phones cause Drudge headlines?
To: BlueStateBlues
Ask yourself, how many “really” important people do you see using cell phones anymore? They know.

A very good point. Maybe someone should do a select poll of every congressman and Senator to see if they still use cells or allow members of their family to use them. And, if not, why are they not going on the House or Senate floor and telling America about the situation.
If you know, give me a ring on my cell.

How many years have they been crying this? At least 20 as I recall.
Sounds more to me that along with regulating our self defense, transportation, food supply and nearly every other aspect of our lives, big government is prepared to curtail free communication as well.

Debunked myth from the 1990s being recycled by the Marxist “More Goverement is good” junk science crowd that believes in myths like Global Warming.

Exactly. This is just a plot for more government regulation. The idiots falling for this probably believed in global warming at one time, too.

Ask yourself, how many really important people do you see using cell phones anymore? LOL
That's what I tell my kids when they chide me about never using mine.
I tell them really important folks have "people" to take care of that stuff.
The example I use is Roger Penske at the Indianapolis Speedway. You never see him talking on a cell phone.
To: MNJohnnie
I’ve learned not to believe any scientific study that will lead to more government regulation.

Best to check your sources before freaking out. The World Health Organization is a fraud, always has been. Anything "discovered" by them can be safely ignored.
LONG-term mobile phone users could face a higher risk of developing cancer in later life, according to a decade-long study.
The report, to be published later this year, has reportedly found that heavy mobile use is linked to brain tumours.
The survey of 12,800 people in 13 countries has been overseen by the World Health Organisation.
