Is there an easier way to post photos?

I was wondering if there is an easier way to post photos here. Every time I want to post one of my own photos, I have to upload to Photobucket and grab the HTML code. Is there a program or Firefox add on that can assign HTML code when the file is saved?

You can ‘grab’ the HTML from some pix online, but then you are using that website’s bandwith for each view. For websites, that can add to their costs.

Sites like Photobucket are created for the specific purpose of ‘parking’ pix for viewing on other websites. Photobucket provides the bandwidth.

Many site, especially blog and ‘local only’ pix parking sites, have coding that prohibits images from being ‘shown’ on other websites.

I tape the image to my monitor. Seems to work fine.

why mirrors on the TV don’t reflect my image

The mirrors on TV can't reflect what they can't see.

Photobucket is becoming harder to use. Too much flash crap

I cringe every time is see "new/improved/upgrade" on a website or product or software.

Change for the sake of change is not always better.

I agree that Photobucket has too much 'flash crap'. That is true with many websites that think they have to have the 'flash' for flair.

KISS [keep it simple, stupid]

Just this morning, I turned off -- AGAIN -- Google's new and improved 'personal' search page, and I returned to the old standard, white, non-glitzy, plain wrapper, search.

Does anyone have a file storage site they like which is as simple as Photobucket was a couple of years ago.

I'd like to know the answer to that.

I used to be able to screencap, upload to Photobucket, and post to FR within 8 seconds. Now, it takes 20-30 seconds to upload per screencap to go through the process.

FireFox has an add-on ext for Image shack..... Just right click the picture in question to save to I-shack and up pops your pic w/url ...

Hmm. Looks like it worked (Rehost Image)! That was really easy!

I see there are also some extensions that address the problem for Photobucket.

I also use a Greasemonkey script that saves typing while on the posting form. In this case, I just clicked the Image button, pasted the URL, and the script threw an IMG tag around it. You can get the script by clicking my name below.
