I'm just curious...who's concerned and what to do.

Ok, so like most on this thread I have called and written my senators, Congressmen and Governor. Out of the 12-15 correspondences I have not one single reply. I have gone to the TEA parties, 9/12 in DC and a Town Hall. I have written in our local paper, continue to send and forward emails and PRAY EVERY SINGLE DAY!

However, last night I had a very disturbing dream which delved deep into my psyche... Honestly, I am concerned. More than I wanted to admit and more than I ever thought. I am concerned for my children, for my job, for my wife.....needless to say for our future, but most of all for our freedoms! Our God given freedom that seems to be chipped away day by day, little by little. I feel so helpless for the first time in my life, I really feel completely and utterly helpless. At one time I "trusted" the government, but now I see them as arrogant, ruthless power hungry fascists who care for no one but themselves. I see a media that favors government rule and is not reporting on corruption, scandals and loss of freedoms. I see a media and government that treats us...the American citizen like terrorists and a threat. We are treated worse that Hamas, Iranians and Marxists. I see an America where [still] half of us just don't see our freedoms and standard of living disappearing right before our eyes. Where morals and values are frowned upon and laziness is rewarded.

You can join their site and then make suggestions as to what laws you would like to see passed

IMO, we have too many laws already.

We should be rescinding laws, regulations and shrinking government

Here’s something else you can do on a daily basis from your computer. The story just below yours on FR is entitled, “Digg.com - A Conservative Movement and How You Can Help.” The author wants people on FR to go on the Digg site and make the articles on the site more conservative. Read the article to get the whole story.

Here’s a little project I’m currently working on. I am making a list of Great Things About the US, IMO. I want it to take up one page only when I’m done. I will be listing the number of Nobel Prizes awarded to Americans and other things that we have accomplished. The idea is to counter the “hate America” ideology to which young people are subjected. I will be posting this on FR when I’m done to get (hopefully constructive) comments and suggestions, and I will be printing out my list and posting it on college bulletin boards and telephone poles in my area. Anyone else can use my list (and alter it if you wish).

Is this a small thing? Yes, of course it is, but if millions and millions of people keep at it, these efforts will have an effect.

Think about how little sense gay marriage makes. Yet with strategy and perserverence, gay rights proponents have made great headway with their cause. If gay rights activists can persuade large numbers of people that homosexuals are victims in spite of disease statistics and that gay marriage is just a variation on heterosexual marriage, then surely we can reinvigorate the traditions of this country. Am I making sense?

So true. However, the only way to understand this administration is to acknowledge that their intentions are not good.

I took him seriously when in said (last August) that he's a "citizen of the world." I took him seriously on 11/1/08 when he said he'd come to "change the world." He told me all I needed to know with those 2 statements.

>>Sorry, but until 2010, there is another option.<<

That’s what I thought about 2008.

I’ve gone Galt.

====However, last night I had a very disturbing dream which delved deep into my psyche...

Care to share?=====

It’s rather long and odd and I remember it quite vividly which makes it more surreal, but here we go:

Setting: It seemed like something out of a video game.. half quaint town with an eerie undertone of fear and oppression and another half with an “empty” mall like atmosphere.....with the stores and shiny, marble floors. Anyway, As I was speaking out against the opposition I was being persecuted to the point where I felt in danger. I started to run frantically and was being chased by what appeared to be a dark and evil spirit. This spirit had a calmness, yet arrogant in every sense of the way.....he was a ruler. A dark spirit with a growing following. As I was being chased I was able to to grab him by the throat and grabbed what appeared to be a shotgun. I loaded it with RED shotgun shells as I pointed it at him. As I prepared to load the shells they fell apart in my hands and he grabbed the gun at that point.....discarding it for good. I then continued to flee into an area with marble floors and fancy stores. In the middle of this area was a bed and I jumped into that bed and hid under the blanket....this is where it get’s even more bizarre. The “dark spirit” was revealed as Obama as he jeered underneath the bed sheets. I got a very close look at him...his teeth resembled that of the “orcs” depicted in “The Lord of the Rings”. Slobber and slime oozed from his mouth....I sat and panicked not knowing what to do. Next thing I know my teeth looked the same as I slipped away. For some reason I was being chased again and headed back towards where the dream started, but the land was desolate and deprived. The only way I can describe it, it was similar to COD4 and “half life”.....trash on the ground, blowing debris and complete famine. At that point the dark spirit was once again looming behind and I woke up in a panic...

That’s about it. I know it’s an F’D up dream, but I know the feeling I felt during the dream and when I first woke up....the underlying tone was persecution, slander and loss of freedom of ALL kinds.

I wonder if those of us who agree with this post shouldn't forget contributing to the candidate of our choice next year and send that money to a person or organization that will specialize in getting those in office now OUT of office!

We've been doing it the other way, supporting our choice of candidates, and we see where it's gotten us.

Somehow we've to get the names of the name of the incumbent in every race etched into the minds of voters together with the tag that this person is to be voted against, period.

Do enough of this and those challenging the current office holder won't need anywhere nearly as much money to campaign.

I see a series of billboards all across the country that say, “So-and-So, You're Fired!” Fill in the name of the current office holder. Same with print ads and broadcast ads. The pitch should be “this time it's not who gets your vote, but who doesn't get it!”

This would be one way to turn the name recognition of some of these crooks who get elected time after time against them.

Who knows, maybe it's time to try something else.

I don't know if this will help or not, just my observations.

Government has not been trustworthy since the 1950's.. Never trust government...period,p. Being in my seventh decade, I have watched the drip, drip drip for decades.

The difference is O is pushing all at once and the citizens have awaken...that is good, in the past people didn't pay attention cause the libs moved in bits and pieces...but feel confident now with all 3 branches of gov't. To many of us that lived BR (before Reagan) Washington was always liberal with NO opposition....Democrats had the house for over 40 years before Clintons 2nd year. All budgets begin in the House...We lived through only 3 liberal networks. Four if you count PBS. No Rush or talk radio, no internet and I spent years thinking I was the only one that felt conservative....found out there are millions of us...Wait until 2010 for worry. That will determine (hopefully) which way things will truly go... Take a break from politics turn off the news and spend time enjoying your family, even in hard times, love of family is still the best part.

Do what you can, the results are God's to make not yours..

Lots of people are as concerned as you, but give yourself a break... The American people will always find a way to freedom...

I'm preparing as if we have to go Galt, but not going to give up yet. It's still possible to take this back, but if we all hide too early, we may make it impossible take it back as a result, and just allow them to take more.

Churchill (never give up) is a more realistic solution than Galt.

This is the point we are at with our government....In simple terms, how does a child get through to irrational, tyrannical parents?

I see the scenario as being more that the spoiled children have decided that they run the household, and it's time for the adults to administer the beatings until things get back into order.

>>Churchill (never give up) is a more realistic solution than Galt.<<

In a world sans the technology at the fingertips of the government, and where you are fighting an equal, I would agree. That is no longer the situation.

If our founding fathers attempted to fight a King George with the technology that is available to the current US government, Paul revere would have been nabbed before he got close to his horse. Frankly, Paul would have disappeared months before.

The whole game has changed. Sometimes you just gotta let evil reach it’s full fruition and collapse of it’s own weight, and try to be there as part of the Phoenix that rises from the ashes.

You see, in my opinion, in a democracy, the problem is not the government. It is the mass of citizens that elect that government. They will just keep electing more Maxine Waters’, Obamas, Kennedys, Kerrys, Franks’, Franken, McCains etc. And those that they elect are driving this country off a cliff, except, IMO, it is already off the cliff and in freefall. Short of sprouting wings, it is doomed to hit the bottom, and very soon.

So I have gone Galt, in pretty much every way I can.

Please interpret from the perspective of my tag line.

"The American people will always find a way to freedom..."

Always? I used to think that too. But now, I'm realizing that the "American people" have changed drastically from what they were back in the days of my mom and dad. For one thing, we have millions more immigrants living here now, ones that do NOT work, pay taxes and contribute but that DO reject the American culture and language, while embracing socialism and/or communism. We have so many foreigners here now, that I feel like I am in another country when I go to the bank, store, etc.

Is it any wonder that half of the country has misplaced loyalties? Loyalties that lie in other countries perhaps? Couple that with the entitlement-minded African Americans and other minorities and you have an eventual recipe for economic disaster, which is what we're witnessing now. Even without the robbing and raping of America that the DemocRats have done, this system would eventually fail on its' own without a radical reversal.

So no, I don't agree with that "always". I only wish it were so.

I understand what you are saying...but if you look back at the American Revolution, the country was not united on fighting for Independence....A good portion of the citizens liked being aligned with England and a good portion was not interested in fighting the war...It took leaders and believers in freedom....The stats I read once on the revolution(not vouching for their authenticity) Was that 1/3 of the country wanted to break with England and 1/3 didn't care and the other 1/3 wanted to maintain allegiance..I think it has always been that way....The saying "Give me liberty or give me death" still applies in the hearts of many....

On that I am an optimist....

These are unsettling times... we’ve had a lot of losses - some wins. The O’Keefe and Hannah thing was a clear win - they’ll be others. Hang in there - we’re with you.
