have a reason to petition the cable companies to get the channelI'm looking forward to Stossel. But I guess he'll be on later in day or is he just going to do special reports?

I dont like Imus....but it was a great move by the Fox Business Channel as my cable company and many other do not carry it....but now the sizable heft of Imus Freaks out there and to a lesser extent the John Stossell fans (of which I am one) have a reason to petition the cable companies to get the channel. That's one of the reason's RFDTV was grateful to have Imus on their channel, it got people to lobby their cable company to carry RFDTV and RFDTV benefitted from it. They even ended up on the largest cable companies in the country.

he did a good job.Yes, I agree.
The trick to watching the I-man without your head exploding is that he is so good at this shock-jock genre that you forget how professional he really is. Everything that drives you crazy was *intended* to drive you crazy.
Just a theory but I bet that Imus thought "what would send the Fox viewers through the roof more than having a RACEr as the very first interview?" If that was his thinking then he was right. And he played it straight, he didn't undermine her integrity although he did say that he disagreed that race was the underlying reason for zer0's opposition.

Imus is best when there is breaking news and he brings in people from both sides to discuss it. He gets to the point and cuts through the spin and talking points others bring to the table.
The post-2000 election recount period was the best period for his show ever.

I'm looking forward to Stossel. But I guess he'll be on later in day or is he just going to do special reports? He's expected to do a weekly show of his own (possibly on the weekends) on FBN and make occasional appearances on FNC.

Stossell should be good. I hope to see a lot of him. He cuts right to the bone.

Imus is proof that someone who is mentally addled can still get a high paying job.

Imus is proof that someone who is mentally addled can still get a high paying job. He's often said that he has more money than he can ever spend. It must be nice.
But when he stops playing the hick-buffoon he seems to know his stuff. He makes ridiculous claims but they are always jokes - or at least seem to be.

I'm promoting his show but I'm not championing it. He has to prove he's worth watching. I'm just grateful for an alternative to Morning Choke.

Imus said Sarah Palin is a nice person, but thinks it is a “horrifying thought” that she could be the GOP Nominee in 2012. Imus said she is a “dope” who governed a state with “90 people and a polar bear.”http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2354045/posts
He lost me there. Don’t care what happens to him now.

He lost me when I heard him say Sarah Palin is stupid. Ditto! That was not only wrong, it was uncalled for!
