As long as they’re not liberal college towns... let’s get a list of great conservative small towns together...

Lexington VA is really nice, but we’re looking at Farmville VA. It’s a less pricey, small college town and the drive to Lexington, Richmond or Charlottesville is not bad if we need or want something Farmville doesn’t have.

Wow. I’ve actually been to three of them...Saugerties, Mount Vernon and Rockland. All interesting in their own ways.

I can rule out any state that has a bottle deposit, sales tax or personal income tax.

Rural Retreat, Va. The Home of “Dr Pepper.” There isn’t anything there but good people. Left the car keys in the car and no one stole it. I’ll visit there again one day.

I do not understand coffee coming into the equation on what is or is not a great small town.

I agree wholeheartedly on Lexington, VA. Been there 3 times.

There are a lot of cool small towns in VA.

Cayucos is a fabulous town...nice cemetery there. I wouldn’t object to lying there in perpetuity.

I’ll add two small towns in Ohio that are worth checking out, Oxford, home of Miami University and Granville, home of Denision University.

Well since you brought up this topic I think I’ll do a repost:

Considering Relocating? Think about Colorado Springs…
Outside Magazine just ranking Colorado Springs as the best place to live.

http://outside.away.com/outside/destinations/200908/best-towns-america-colorado-springs.html

Outside Magazine lists as a drawback that it might be get this TOO CONSERVATIVE for some people.

As you know, Money Magazine consistently usually ranks it number 1 as well.

http://www.ownyourownmountain.com/artman/publish/Gazette_Telegraph_Article.html

If you or a CONSERVATIVE person is considering relocating, I’d invite you to tell them about this family values oasis. I’d personally suggest Northern Colorado Springs as being the best and the most conservative.

And just to lay my cards on the table, I am not in the Real Estate business and make nothing off anyone moving here. I just know that Soros and others have dumped millions into Colorado and have succeeding in taking over the state government for the first time in decades recently.

The Springs loses out to Denver and Boulder in the state elections but it is still close enough to make a difference.
Pass this along.

Take America back starting at the center...

Checking in from Jacksonville, Oregon. Pretty nice little town. The Good Bean coffee shop roasts fresh daily. We're a well preserved 1850s gold-mining town in Southern Oregon.

Here's downtown:
