The New & Improved Juan Williams.
The O'Reilly Factor | 10/3/09 | DGHoodini

Posted on 10/03/2009 4:48:29 AM PDT by DGHoodini

Was up wearly today, and caught the 6 AM EDT re-run of the BOR show. When it first started, I admit I was dissappointed to find that Juan Williams was subbing for BOR, so I just kept the show on, while at the PC, figuring I'd change the channel when the impetus of being bored would provide the impetus to c hange the channel... But as the show progressed, i found that Juan Williams was hosting like I've never hearf him host before. He was engaging, even handed and wouldn't let the guests get away with filibustering either the Left or Right view p[oint. It was as good of an hour of hosting as I've seen from even some A team hosts have done. Not one grimace of boredom from me during the whole show. I shall have to pay attention to Williams more, to find out if it was just a fluke or the material covered, or if Williams has developed some "hosting" game.

He was even-handed except for the interview with Karl Rove. I think he hates Karl Rove and it shows.

Juan wrote a book, described here in Wikipedia:
Williams’ book “Enough: The Phony Leaders, Dead-End Movements, and Culture of Failure That Are Undermining Black America – and What We Can Do About It” (August 2006) presents a critical look at the current generation of black leaders. In it, he echoes themes expressed by Bill Cosby, calling on black Americans to take responsibility for their actions; return to a work ethic that, he contends, has been lost in recent years; and begin to reemphasize stigmatization, at least in certain forms, as a way to promote policies that he sees as conducive to black development, such as renewed focus on education, monogamy and marriage and self-sufficiency.

He was visciously attacked and disowned by the Left. It was an eye-opening experience for him. Probably the way Hillary felt when the Left turned on her.

He was much less wooden. He has been through some good media training.

Juan did a great job hosting for O’Reilly. He’s one of the libs I like a lot, even though I disagree with most of what he says. I think he’s a good man.

Juan would be my favorite liberal if it wasn't for:

Sorry Juan

If he’s a Christian, he’s a bit confused. Leftist dems have no place in their commie hearts for people of faith.

But, I forget—let’s just pretent it isn’t so and everything will be OK>

Juan Williams has a backbone made of steel - I don’t usually agree with his positions, but I respect him.

Kristin is OK, but when it comes to Alaska babes I prefer (1) Jewel and (2) Sarah.

I find Juan to be one of the only honest Lefties.

And, he sincerely wants the best for the U.S., unlike most Lefties who want the Complete Destruction of Western Civilization.

So, I like Juan, I just disagree with everything he believes about policy.

I dont know what you are talking about, when he said to Karl Rove about Bush not doing anything About Fanny and Freedy Mac leading to The economic Meltdown ,Rove Laid out all the Facts about that from 2001 they tried to reform Fannie and freddie and were Filibustered by Dodd and Obama and the democrats time and again and old Juan just ignored everything he said and just spewed that they did not do anyhting .
The guy is a One trick pony ,a fraud who has made a Living off the color of his skin .
He doesnt realize that he is a Laughing stock and just used by Fox for a Laugh ,Krauthammer skewers the Guy in every debate

Juan is leftist with some looney leftist ideas, but ever since he defended Clarance Thomas, I have found a modicum of respect for him.

“Here is indiscriminate, mean-spirited mudslinging supported by the so-called champions of fairness: liberal politicians, unions, civil rights groups and women’s organizations,” wrote Williams in the October 10, 1991 Washington Post. “They have been mindlessly led into mob action against one man by the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights.” Thomas’ foes, wrote Williams, were practicing “gutter politics. … In pursuit of abuses by a conservative president the liberals have become the abusive monsters.” He added that the establishment media in general, and NPR in particular, had “sacrificed journalistic balance and integrity for a place in the mob.”

Jaun is clearly liberally biased, however he’s not a complete kool aid drinker all of the time. He does have some intellect up there, when his ideology isn’t creating blinders for him.

Don’t get me wrong, a good bit of the stuff that comes out of his mouth makes me wonder about him, but he’s not a complete parrot.

There are two Juan Williams.

I agree and you never know which one is going to show up. I'll hear him slam the administration on some policy point and then turn around and gush over zeros speech to the UN. He thought going to Copenhagen was appropriate and a wonderful idea. I get the impression that Juan doesn't like 0bamas policies but has a total man-crush on President Pantywaist.

Confusion can be forgiven. I just pray that he will one day see the truth, but I would not presume to judge the sincerity of his belief in Christ.

My sense of it is, Juan strays just about as far from the liberal plantation as he possibly can—and occasionally pushes even further. But he always returns before curfew. Because he does, the monolithic black political bloc hasn’t been able to repudiate him and exile him like it has Clarence Thomas or Condoleezza Rice.
