NEW YORK - You know the title, now see the cover of Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue."
The former Alaska governor's memoir, a top-seller online weeks before publication, will feature an outdoor shot of Palin, wearing an American flag pin on her red fleece top, eyes turned slightly from the camera as she smiles confidently into the horizon, a patchwork of Alaska blue sky and clouds behind her.

I'll never stop posting the truth. I know what happened. Palin quit, Reagan always finished what he started. You got a problem with that, tough! You want to make excuses for Palin, have at it.
I find your hypersensitivity over any criticism of Palin both juvenile and unproductive. And I find your laziness on this thread, quite embarrassing.

You have got to be kidding! Nope, those were observations. If the McCain campaign was as aware of Palin's 'downsides' as some here suggest, they did a very poor job of dealing with them. Most likely an indication of how despaerate McCain's campaign was at that point.

Wrong? I was speaking of national political expersience.
OK, she has ~14-15 years of public service (the only jobs shes held as an adult?), 10 of which was as council member / mayor of a rural town of fewer than ~5,000 ppl for most of that time; ~1 was as chairperson of an appointed commission as the other member (neither Pet Eng nor geologist). 2.5 years as guv.
A little history for you:
How many years of national political experience do you think the founder of the GOP President Abraham Lincoln had before he became President?
I think you will find he had one term in the House of Representatives.
Are you as ready to claim he was unprepared and not up to the job based on his national political experience?
To: SoConPubbie
Tell me, which one of the Potential GOP candidate for 2012, or those who ran in 2000, or even 1980 had this type of experience? None. But using the Diomede Islands as an example of Palin's 'foreign policy' experience was a mistake, I believe. It just didn't fly.

Or maybe your characterization, much like your opinion of Palin, is ill-informed.
Like most detractors, you have nebulous proof to support your negative opinions.
While supporters can easily find her accomplishments while Governor, and Mayor and also almost all of her positions on the issues are right in line with Conservatism.

None. But using the Diomede Islands as an example of Palin's 'foreign policy' experience was a mistake, I believe. It just didn't fly.
Once again, who had better foreign policy experience than Palin's from the list I gave you.

Are you as ready to claim he was unprepared and not up to the job based on his national political experience? I'm a Southern lad; don't think much of ol' Abe, myself.
Hey, you clearly have a strong emotional attachment to Palin; more power to you. I simply don't share it.

You're confusing your opinion, with it's attendant spin, with the truth.
I've already given you the truth, she resigned because she was having to spend 80% of her time and her staff's time dealing with bogus lawsuits. The citizens of Alaska hired her to spend 100% of her time on the issues of Alaska.
The lawsuits showed no sign of abating and so, in the best interests of the people of Alaska, and in order to be more effective fighting for conservative issues, she resigned.
That's the truth.
Your opinion, is just that, your opinion.
Question for you: do you have a problem with women in positions of power?
To: Ready4Freddy
I'm a Southern lad; don't think much of ol' Abe, myself.
Hey, you clearly have a strong emotional attachment to Palin; more power to you. I simply don't share it.
So I'll take that as a no.
And a tactical retreat.
To: SoConPubbie
>>>>>I've already given you the truth, she resigned ... That's right. Bottom line, Palin QUIT before the job was finished.
You're excuses aren't convincing. They're lame.

So I'll take that as a no. Take it as I'm not all that impressed with the job ol' Abe did.
Your comparing the limited foreign policy needs of a by-gone era to today's world is specious, at best.

...and also almost all of her positions on the issues are right in line with Conservatism. Agreed, and there's a lot of good she can do for the party & the cause. But it doesn't necessarily make her good Presidential material.

Palin quit, Reagan always finished what he started.Reagan quit from Lebanon.
Reagan didn't finish business with getting rid of Gaddafy.
Reagan shortly after taking office as Governor in California tried to run for President in 1968. If succesful he would have quit from his post he was just duly elected to.
You obviously are clueless about Reagan and what a "quitter" is.
LOL!

Did you ever get the impression that the McCain campaign ever did any real vetting of her? It sure looked they were bildsided by the state investigation that was already underway. And Palin seemingly didn't tell them about it.McCain explains Palin vetting
Palin Disclosed Sensitive Issues to McCain
And that State investigation you mention was a complete Rat-instigated sham. Try again.
To: Ready4Freddy
the only jobs shes held as an adult? You do know that during the Alaska summers, Sarah works with Todd as a commercial fisherwoman don't you?
To: Virginia Ridgerunner
And that State investigation you mention was a complete Rat-instigated sham. Of course it was, but it existed, and it hurt her & the campaign.
