Brando, Sinatra and Dad (John Gotti Hated Frank Sinatra)

* He despised Frank Sinatra. "My father hated Sinatra, and wouldn't dare attend a concert of his," Victoria writes. "In fact, Dad never attended a concert in his life . . . He said they were 'too loud' and 'a breeding ground for trouble.' "

* He thought most pro baseball players were "lowlifes." When one of Victoria's sons told Gotti that he wanted to play pro baseball, Victoria writes that Gotti began to rant, "You need to be a good liar, a good lowlife. You need to take steroids, and anyone who takes steroids is a garbage pail. You also need to rat out your team the first chance you get."

“I always knew that Frank would go for a boy.” -— Ava Gardner on hearing that Frank Sinatra married Mia Farrow.

They just opened a new magnet high school in my neighborhood. The sign reads “The Frank Sinatra School of the Performing Arts. Tony Bennett, Founder.” Tony being a native son of Astoria.

Tony’s a great singer, too, but he’s a delusional barking moonbat with respect to his politics.

Antonio Benedetto has ALWAYS been a flaming lefty. Frank morphed from a far lefty to a centrist Republican in his later years. Frank was also always pro-abortion (his mom Dolly was an abortionist herself) although he was heartbroken when Ava aborted their child.

No, never did---guess I have now. Sounds like this puts Milton Berle in second place......don't know how old you are, but he was a famous (in more ways than one)comedian back in the 50's-60's. .

I’m in my 30s, but I’m quite familiar with Milton Berle and a fan of his work. He was still putting in the guest appearances on the new shows I watched as a kid. Don’t quite have any equivalents today of folks like him, nor of Sinatra or Sammy Davis, Jr... and a host of others too numerous to mention.

The pros usually don’t have any respect for amateurs.
