* He despised Frank Sinatra. "My father hated Sinatra, and wouldn't dare attend a concert of his," Victoria writes. "In fact, Dad never attended a concert in his life . . . He said they were 'too loud' and 'a breeding ground for trouble.' "
* He thought most pro baseball players were "lowlifes." When one of Victoria's sons told Gotti that he wanted to play pro baseball, Victoria writes that Gotti began to rant, "You need to be a good liar, a good lowlife. You need to take steroids, and anyone who takes steroids is a garbage pail. You also need to rat out your team the first chance you get."

Did you know this?
WOW I didn’t know that
I thought all mobsters love Frank
I guess it’s a good thing I don’t care for his family then.
not sure about the Sinatra deal but he had baseball players pegged, at least in the time frame he was talking about
I guess Gotti was more into the Carpenters and ABBA.
Well, he was right about Baseball , pretty much Football,Basketball,etc..
May Gotti burn in Hell. After his neighbor accidently killed his son, he had the man brutally murdered. One of the least of his crimes. His whole biological and crime families should all be put away forever.
Good thing Gotti was so upstanding- he knew about baseball players and Frank Sinatra concerts.
A lot of baseball players may not be angels, but can you name any baseball players that had to have someone killed in a steakhouse to get their job?
NOOO that mess up
I thought all mobsters are into Italian crooner
Maybe Gotti was Heavy Metal fan
I’d hate Sinatra too. The man had a 13-inch you-know-what for crying out loud. What man can compete with that?
SAY WHAT?
Hey, the devil recognizes his own, but if you want to talk murder and athletes...lets start with OJ, Rae Carruth....Or those pesky rape cases...
Okay, some professional athletes killed or raped people, but John Gotti was a professional criminal!
Obviously there is a clear difference between organized crime figures and amateurs.http://www.king-mag.com/online/?p=5996
Fortunately I have never suffered from the worship of athletes or mobsters.
Plenty of guys can rattle off sports trivia but don’t even know what underhanded crap is going on in the halls of congress.
But they don’t really care as long as they can keep their big screen TV for Saturday and get another two for one coupon from Chili’s.
He was wrong on both counts. He was egregiously wrong about baseball players.
To be called a lowlife by John Gotti is a badge of honor. No one is more of a lowlife than he is.
He wouldn’t want to be involved with those low-lifes, now, would he?
“After his neighbor accidently killed his son, he had the man brutally murdered.”
Excerpted from Victoria Gotti’s book
“But Gotti had been fingered as the mastermind behind many more, such as the 1980 disappearance and apparent murder of a neighbor who accidentally ran over and killed Gotti’s 12-year-old son Frank.
It was in that latter case that Victoria claims she demanded that her father exact “justice,” according to 48 Hours Mystery.
“You’re supposed to be a tough guy. How can you let somebody kill my brother?” she says she told her father. “And he just looked at me and he said, ‘It was an accident.’”

Gotti was a “stronzo” anyway.
