She hops on board the backup 747 and flies to Copenhagen SEPARATELY from the prez. $56.5k per hour is $452k x 2 means the taxpayers just paid $904k for the flights there, and including the return the tab is $1.8 MILLION NOT INCLUDING limos, advance security, security while there etc. etc. This is easily going to be $5 MILLION paid for courtesy of the taxpayers of the U.S. to benefit a few people involved in securing the Olympics for Chicago.
My question is, is she as narcissistic as the prez that she considers herself self-important and deserves her own adulation from the adoring masses?
Yea, I know, this is a vanity but it truly pi**es me off that the world is going to he*l in a handbasket, yet they put the problems of the world on hold for this?
Someone wake me when this nightmare is over..
This reminds me of that joke about the rather large woman:
“When she hauls a$$, she has to make two trips.”
They wouldn't give Biggie BO & MO what they want just because they flew to the meeting, would they?
Does this make her a Lobbyist?
More hope and change.
Where do you get those figures? Sorry, just wondering..
Carbon Footprint?
The green shoes again? I told you, those are a signal to someone...
I miss Laura Bush. That picture is embarrassing, classless and entirely inappropriate for a First Lady. Would love to know the thoughts of the Air Force guys there.
Seriously - I don’t care who gets it as long as it’s not Chicago. The fix is probably in though because it would be a huge embarrassment to BO and highlight his wavering world influence if Chicago isn’t selected.
We can only hope and pray :-)

IOC, don't be fools! Award the games to Brazil!
That figure does not include personnel, per diems, hotels for all the SS, the extra aircraft to fly helicopters, and everything needed for his royal entourage. This trip will end up costing the taxpayers OVER $90 MILLION DOLLARS. It will also cost the local authorities to "keep him safe".
ION = Impeach Obama Now!
Unfortunately, Rio is even worse than Chicago on crime. Still, I think IOC should give it to Rio. I honestly can’t remember an Olympics Games being held in South America in my (long) lifetime.
I wonder if her code name is Yeti?
From what I’ve read, that photo of her in shorts was taken in Arizona, where she was going to the Grand Canyon. A liberal friend of mine defended her dress; but that claim fell when I pointed out the servicemen.
There is a certain type of decorum demanded of the first lady; but this entire first family does not get it.
To be fair, she was originally designated as the US rep. to the meeting, Obama himself decided later that he should go too.
Common sense would suggest the go together of course but maybe they want two crews over there - maybe BHO is going somewhere else on the way back ? Maybe Michelle is going shopping/staying over ?
I live in Atlanta and was here for the ‘96 debacle. Even managed to score tickets to the Roman-Greco wrestling event. The residents of the city got out of dodge. When I drove downtown, on a weekday, during rush hour, I cruised at 70 mph all the way into downtown.
Just wait until the tab comes due and the taxes go up yet again and again and again to pay for it. Only then will people say, “What the heck did we want this for?”
Why do people in Chicago keep voting for this? Are there too many unions and minorities?
