Glenn Beck and his merry musings are fooling no one.
The hysterical denunciations of the other side are taken straight from the play book of the "Know Nothings" the racist group that tried to drive the Irish out of the U.S. after they landed here during the Great Famine.
Calling Obama a racist against whites, making Acorn,a group that enrolls blacks to vote a punching bag, taking every extreme statement by the other side and portraying it as official Democratic Party policy is the same demonizing tactic the Know Nothings used when they portrayed out Irish ancestors as ape and mocked our religion as superstitions.
Alas, the murder of a census worker in rural Kentucky is part of the inevitable outcome of whipping up such passions.
William Sparkman was a 51-year-old single father who had gone back to college in his mid-40s to earn a degree. He was looking for a teaching job when he took a temporary position as a census worker. Now he is dead, hanged and tied with the word 'fed' scrawled across his chest.
Did Glenn Beck kill him ? No. Did he help provide the rope that hung him? Maybe. His obsessive anti-government ranting was probably taken seriously by some ignorant "Deliverance" backwoodsmen who picked on a poor single father.
Sadly at the moment Beck is winning. His cover story in Time magazine means he has arrived but it is a one way journey for him. Like all the other racists cloaked in 'reasonable' discourse he can only outdo himself by becoming even more outrageous until his words begin to lack significance and he becomes full of sound and fury signifying nothing. I give him two more years max.
Compared to Beck, Bill O'Reilly is a principled conservative,someone I can disagree with but who knows where the line is between advocacy and hate speech. O'Reilly, perhaps mindful of his own ethnic history, would never stoop to the levels of Beck when railing against those he disagrees with.
O'Reilly always saves a slot for the other side, Sometimes he goes close to the edge but never too far. He is a professional who realizes the impact of his words on his millions of supporters.
In contrast Glenn Beck will do anything for a cheap headline and a rating point. He is one of the main reason there is such a poisonous political atmosphere in America today.
The funny thing is that Glenn is only asking questions. The left is making their own conclusions.

Has anybody read Glenn Beck's new book? I just got it yesterday .. a little hesitantly after the last one which I thought was a little "light." But this one is SOLID. In the first few pages you will learn things you didn't know.
The way the book is laid out, it reminds me of a good store for shopping (a good old fashioned hardware store for the guys or Bloomingdale's for the gals). You not only read, but you also browse with all the tidbits he has in there. And I like the coloring on the pages that makes them seem old and used ... anyway, a good "feel."
But the CONTENT is absolutely excellent. If you like facts you can use, its great. I dabble with a little blog and there's a lifetime of facts in his book for the bloggers. Good examples and a lot of things I bet you didn't know. I'll be putting this right there beside my Autographed Liberty and Tyranny from Mark Levin ... its THAT good. (... and I do intend to "lift" a fact or two from it).
All you have to do to make a decision to buy it is, go to the book store, find it, open the book and see if on whatever page you open it to you learn something. I bet you will.

If the headlines are false, sue him.
Otherwise, the ratings follow truth, and the subjects of the headlines write them by their actions.
Mr. Beck simply points those actions out.
I bet this guy is related to Ted Kennedy. Beck is leading the charge against the Liberal/Progressive Machine. He may pay the price with his own life but he will never back down. We must support him in every way we can. It is sad that the Conservative Movement must be lead by Beck because no one else will step up to take the flag. It is not about race, its about the Constitution and the American Way. Trying to blam a death on Beck is just another tactic used by the Left. They will next blame him for the Holocaust, Katrina, Pearl Harbor, and the rise of Hitler. They will do all they can to re-rail him because he is their worst nightmare. I would like to see Beck run for office! I would like to see him lead the ultimate 3rd Party Ticket.
geee....beck boiled a frog? not really. did anyone catch his show with all the moms? they get it so why doesnt congress?
beck asked if they they thought us currency would be gone in 5 years..a bunch raised their hands...How do we prepare for something like that?

If you are taking flak it means you are over the target.
Now, more importantly, MOST of the people of Irish descent in America (well over 60 million of us so who are those pipsqueaks with no babies on that little island anyway?) had Irish ancestors here long before the Great Famines, and one of America's greatest Revolutionary War heroes was a guy named Timothy Murphy ~ he was the first frontiersman to use a two barreled rifle too. America's other great combat hero was a guy named Audie Murphy.
There are plenty of other famous Irish in American history, so some puke on a little green rock in the North Atlantic should learn not to talk down to us or we'll have to go over there and kick his arse back to England where he belongs!
When the census guy was murdered a Freeper said he once worked as one.
So it got me to wonder if any background on the poor guy ever came to light.
He could well have been a conservative and or murdered as someone suggested for coming upon an illegal pot farm while doing his job.
Beck is usually a "suffix" in German, not a full name but I did find some.
Beck is the best thing to come down the American Pike in 21 years, and we can give thanks to God for him.
If he doesn’t stir up a MAJOR in depth inquiry into the reeking mess that is spewing from the Obama/Emanauel pig sty, we have bigger problems than just millions of people who can’t pay the mortgages that banks / Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac were forced into giving them.
The country is being dismembered, limb by limb, organ by organ, in plain sight, and few seem inclined to yell FIRE!
I do believe the Dowd(en) gang were quite adept at ripping off and murdering victims of the famine. Don’t see why any of them should have improved since then ~ and that Dowd woman definitely fits the pattern.
