A family has been caught after vacationing at an Eilat hotel with no less than 63 towels and 370 bags of Elite coffee.
The theft might never have been discovered had not police arrived at the family's home in the middle of the night, a few hours after the family returned home, on suspicion that drugs were concealed in the house.

The Clintons never stole from the Sheraton. They did how ever try to clean out the USS George Washington. I was on a Med Cruise with the GW battle Group when that happened.

When I was in my good "earning years" wifey and I would spend a week or 10 days at the very pricey Halekulani in Honolulu....one of the special things about the place was the staff.
On one of the "back of the house" tours we took, the manager told us how the staffers would hand box all those little goodies and then give 'em a Hawaiian blessing, knowing that even the zillionaires who stayed would be squirreling them all home.
....haven't been back for around 10 years now, but we're still working on some matches, shampoos, etc. - and my treasured foot-long teak shoehorn is still master of my side of the closet.

I haven't done very much traveling in my life, but I never took so much as a used bar of soap or a plastic cup out of a room. The longest I ever stayed in one place away from home was 3 weeks, and I came back with less than I went in with. There's a whole lot of really amoral people in the world.
Now, dumpster diving is a whole other story.

I’ve spent hundreds of nights in hotels and never took so much as an extra bar of soap.
Some people. Sheesh.
To: george76
I have more problem that the police raided these people's house in the middle of the night on an unwarranted drug charge.
If the hotel wants to proceed with criminal or civil cases against these people, fine, but busting down the doors in the middle of the night?
