Ann Novotny studied the signaling used by the cancer in a portion of large intestinal and colon cancer. She found that there are receptors for opioids, such as morphone, on tumor cells. If morphine is supplied to these cells the protein urokinase is released, which the cancer cells can use to enhance their capacity to spread.

Egg yolks also contain a lot of lecithin and lecithin is quite high in acetylcholine. This is, of course, never a problem for people without cancer, but this is very useful to know for those who have cancer.

By the time morphine starts being administered, the end is near.

This study could be very significant in that it would affect trials of anti-cancer drugs on late stage patients. Discarded therapies many have to be re-evaluated as will existing therapies in the presence of non-opiates.

Right, you believe this crap,eh? This is most likely a setup so they can stop giving morphine after Bozocare passes, it will cause cancer you see so we can’t sanction it’s use. They will probably ban it.

I kind of feel “so what” on this one.
My mom died from a cancer and toward the end they used morphine as a pain reliever of last resort.

You know folks, that is a last resort drug and if they are giving morphine prior to the last few months of life, something is wrong with the care anyway.

Morphine is mostly for people in their last stages of dying anyway. I wouldn’t worry so much about spreading more stuff at that point.

If anything, if someone you love is NOT about to die and is on morphine for more than a very brief time, something is WRONG with that IMO.

If you have Colon Cancer, or any cancer for that matter, and are at the stage were you need Morphineto control the pain, it makes NO difference if it spreads. You're already terminal.

So withholding Morphine to 'extend' your life a couple weeks, while being in complete misery, is as STOO-PID^™ as worrying about the terminal patient getting 'hooked'.

It's a good pain killer..and it's pretty safe too.

But you “I pray to God” don’t have people on that regularly. It’s one thing to have a short time where that helps and another to make it a life long pain killer.

Nausea is cured with cannabis better than anything the docs could give me during my two courses of chemo/radiation. I’ve read a report somewhere recently a study in California that cannabis had the properties to prevent the spreading of some types of cancer.

I’m not a true believer in all thing cannabis, but I’ve experienced positive results from using the substance for certain situations and I am very thankful to live in a state that recognizes the medical value of cannabis. That’s about all I like about our uber-liberal state government.

I’m 55 years old and avoided drugs like the plague during my youth, but when I was sick as hell, puking 80 pounds off my body and my doctors advised I might get some relief from cannabis, I thought I’d died and gone to some parallel universe, but a nurse brought me some and within 15 seconds of trying a puff, the nausea was gone and within 8 hours I was eating!!! If cannabis has NO OTHER VALUE, that made it worth violating FEDERAL law to me.

Morphine doesn’t have to be expensive. The point is to thin out the aged so they can spend less on health care and control the younger population. They will use things like this to bring about their dream of the perfect world.

though the many growers I am..err..”familiar” with might protest

easy way to make a modest living at fairly low risk at 350/ounce for high grade sense

as someone with chronic cervical, sternal and lumbar pain I am an avid supporter of reasonable opioid use....problem is for so many folks...one or two Lortabs a day is never enough

I have no problems with believing the results of this study.

Your allegation of the authors’ conspiracy with 0bama, the fact that the vast majority of the research on this study happened under George Bush, and the fact that morphine is cheap lead me to believe your position is completely crazy.

The study implicates egg yolks in the cancer spread, as egg yolks are high in lecithin, which are high in acetylcholine. Why aren’t you protesting the author’s (non-existent) anti-egg yolk results? Aren’t you against anti-egg yolk people, too?

Your positions are certifiably crazy.
